tainogirl: But how could a man you just met know if he wants to marry you? He might feel attracted to you, think you are the kind of woman he MIGHT want to marry. But it still takes time to really KNOW a person. There are more important things I would want to know rather than if he can just put a ring on my finger. JMHO.

Isn't that it?dancing

ok, i'm going to be brutally honest.

The guy came from CS, so his profile would have said what he was looking for out of a future relationship. So that should have given you a clue.

Going by your other experience here, you are fixated with being married, and ruining your chances of achieving that.

Nobody likes to feel pressured about marriage as soon as they meet you, how on earth can they give you an honest answer when they don't even know you???

It takes time for a relationship to develop, you might not like him? once you have spent sometime getting to know him.

All you will do is make guys run a mile, get happy with yourself and learn to live your life for you, until you do that you will continue to be alone

I think honesty must be first, and there is nothing wrong if you ask the person if he would like to have a commitment with you, That's what i did with my lovely man....love smitten kiss

Of course one should be honest, but how HONEST can a man be about wanting to marry a woman he just met a second ago,he doesn't really know you! You might probably get more honesty asking him do you want to jump my crotch now?

Lets say you marry someone after your first meeting and after a week you are not happy with your choice, what happens at that point?

Everybody is dealing with the extreme idea of asking a man to marry you on the 1st date; I will leave that one alone.

I want to discuss the need for constant affection, kissing, touching on the first date. This too seems like a rush to judgement.... How long was this date?

yes i can see to talk about it in conversation and see what you want at some point in your life, but read the last paragraph of the Op's post, she is saying she wants someone to marry here at anytime, and not for someone to think about it???? that is just not normal. bouquet
