serioussoul: I'm wondering how men searching on Single Sites would feel if a woman posted in her profile that she has been unemployed in CA for 18 months.
I doubt very seriously that this woman would get very much interest. Being unemployed in this economy is a very hard place to be.
Being single and lonely while being unemployed is even harder.
tgwstw: I feel your pain. But only sometimes, I always try and keep my mind ticking over. I feel like Steve McQueen in the Great Escape, but I get by. Keep smiling anyway!

Good question...well personally I have dated guys who've been out of work from time to time...some of them it really was just for a short time, and others they were just wasters I guess who didnt wanna work. It doesn't take long to figure out which one is which...personally I would never refuse a guy I liked a date solely on the grounds of him being unemployed because I've been there myself...plus it says something kind of shallow about a person if they immediately only look into the possible personal gain issue and then refuse based on the fact that they don't think they can get anything/much out of it.

What about how women would feel if the man was unemployed for over 18 years ... I'm single and unemployed... Not lonely cause I still have income coming in so I can date women ...

VERY well said!!!!! They would´nt even write to us, or even comment, just pass us by!!!!! Unfortunateley, money is needed to SURVIVE in all senses!
scon1916: why would money even enter the question?Love is love. Give me love any day. Money is important but not as important as true love.
Don´t really know why the OP even asked, to me it´s rather obvious, even if you JUST start Dating, .....why would you pay for your Man? I suppose being old fashioned as I am...I could´nt do it. Who knows if he is a Scammer, is looking for a real job or what? We all need money to pay our Bills, Outings, clothes etc... Why would a Woman date a Man who maybe, has been Jobless for over a year, living on Food Stamps?
