It is only my opinion, but desperate is desperate, regardless of how little or how much.

It is my "FIRM" belief that both parties must be available on 4 planes for a relationship to work. They are spiritual, emotional, mental and physical.

Just take it as read that 75% of the women who contact you, will be scammers. You will recognise them after a while.

I know that this is so different from everything else in life, in that, normally if you want something, you just go out and get it, work for it, or buy it, and you have it. Love is different.

You can't buy it, no matter how hard you work at it, it doesn't arrive, and you cant just go out and get it, because it is not exactly lying about waiting for you.

Patience is the key..... You have to wait for it to come to you.

Sometimes that takes a few weeks or months, and for some it takes years, or a lifetime, but you won't have it until it just jumps up and hits you one day.

The advice the others on here are giving you, is good advice. You will meet some genuinely lovely women here in the forums, who are looking, and waiting , just like you. One of them might even grow on you because you will be seeing her for who she is, and not as some e-mailer who is out to take you to the cleaners, and who knows, love might arrive sooner than you think.

It happens on here all the time.....

You are refering to scammers who are men posing as women. They love to sweet talk men out of money.

Not sure whom you were refering to there, since no quote was used, but I was refering to both men and women scamming other men and women, as either men or women.

Usually when I don't quote someone I'm refering to the OP. And true, hard to tell who is who unless one does webcam to find out.

You can only give love I'm afraid. You can't make someone love you by behaving a certain way or telling them your innermost thoughts.

What I do know is that I can't have a relationship with someone else till I have one with me. I can't understand anybody else unless I understand me. I can't love someone else with all their faults, failings and blemishes until I do the same for me.

Otherwise I am only using these women to fill an inner emptiness and I am being both selfish and dishonest. When I thought I was looking for love I was actually looking for pity and freedom from loneliness.

As for giving love to another human being, well...I can't give what I don't have. And I ended up needing a great deal of help to sort that out and it didn't happen overnight.

Commit to yourself first my friend.
