Trying to decide if I should go join the 20 people going out for Chinese dinner tonight to celebrate some neices birthday ....... and I realy dont like Chinese food - its fattening, its poison for me, and everything is covered in fried dough ........and tomorrow morning I gonna feel like I just swam ashore thru an oil slick ......

......So I decided I better go - and I`ll just drink my dinner tonight - then tomorrow I`ll feel like I crawled thru the desert....instead.

Anyway, I got a gift for this girl and its my only chance to give it to her -a birthday gift given a few weeks later just is not the same huh? .... So I shall go drinking tonight!cheers

(my kids just lost their "designated driver" ... ha hahhaa) grin devil

professor There are 1.3 billion Cinese, if their food was fattening this planet would be tipped from its axis ......rolling on the floor laughing laugh

They usually do some European options, you can't go wrong with an omelette as long as you're not alergic to eggs.

Have a lovely night out ....... wine wave

Thank you. I did. And I ate, instead of drinking! In fact I didn`t drink ANYTHING!.. I was too busy eating .....all the watermelon, pineapple, pears, and salads.

I think about 1.25 of those 1.3 billion Chinese eat mostly only rice, with a few (stir) fried things .... Nothing like what the "Chinese" restaurants HERE serve! I think the Chinese immigrants believe us westerners are so dumb we eat their version of "Slum Dog" food - it can come out the garbage cans - as long as its coated in batter and deep fried?

I don´t drive Woofy. I took lessons many many years ago and was about to take my test when I chickened out. I think it was because I didn´t actually enjoy driving rather than nerves.´In addition, I was married and my ex husband drove me everywhere. He was a very good driver.

Nowadays I don´t really need to drive where I live, I can walk everywhere and I don´t mind public transport if I want to go further afield, but I am thinking about starting lessons again. However, now I do have the nerves as I´m much older. What do you think? Do older students have a really hard time in general?

Hi Marti!!! You are right, public transport can be very good these days, and here in Spain where I live it is excellent, so I don´t really know why I´m contemplating driving lessons again.

Okay here goes. In the office I call people above 25 "old ones" meaning hard to teach. Since you are (if I am not mistaken) in that category it is very hard to learn.
My advice I give to anybody above 30 is "LEARN TO DRIVE AN AUTOMATIC" It is much easier and the stress factor is a lot less. You have so much to cope with and the fact that above a certain age it can be all too much to handle.

Thanks. That´s exactly what I thought you would say. In fact I have driven an automatic (illegally) on a couple of occasions.

I think that because I don´t really enjoy driving, an automatic would be the best and easiest option.

Jeeze...over 25 old???
