In a word 'a**hole'...Ok mayube they couldn't afford to bring them up or couldn't find homes for them but they could have contacted the local amimal sacturary...

I can only agree with you. But there are too many problems like this here in Greece, its a fight every day to teach people to treat animals in the right wayPeople who do that should be shot...JMO

Actually, from what I understand, that's what they used to do to stray cats and dogs in small villages in Greece, is shoot them.
I worked for a couple of older Greeks over the years, and they told me that once in a while they would get a few men together, and just go around indiscriminately shooting all the dogs and cats that weren't locked up or indoors.
Some people have a very different view on life in general.

I am afraid you are right about that,and Greece is full of straying cats and dogs.We try to find a way to solve this problem(we-are really people from other countries) but its really difficult.They think different, especially my generation-younger people seem to learn easier, so maybe once things will be better-I try to be optimistic as ever
