Be upfront and honest at all times.. If you are looking at all your options then tell the women(or men for the ladies) you are talking to that you are also talking to other women on the net. The problem occurs when you are interracting with all these women (men) in the same forum/chatroom/venue etc and they see you paying attention/flirting/conversing/etc etc with others more then them... then being honest and upfront is really important cos no one gets any nasty surprises .. if you are telling women (men) you love them and saying all the relationshippy kind of stuff then they are going to think you are into them and them only aren't they?
The net is different from real life. Once the interactions go to more than just net chat then you need to discuss what kind of relationship you have.
If you want to date more than one woman (or man)then make sure you tell all the women (men) you are seeing, the truth. They can then choose to continue seeing you knowing they are not the only one or they can say .. thanks but no thanks
If you are always upfront and honest then they cant say you did the wrong thing by them.
besides.. being honest should let them know you value that trait in yourself and others and it is a great start to any relationship if one woman (or man) does happen to become 'the one' you want to be with over any others.
However.. there is a limit.. if you are seeing someone regularly then surely they have a right to assume some sort of exclusivity of relationship unless it is verbally said otherwise
