Well I'm off to go do my best, if you don't hear from me in the next 24 hours you'll know the guys in the white coats have probably come to take me away.

NEWFLASH FOLKS!!!! I finally finished building my computer and ITS ALIIIIIIIVE! In four days (give and take a few hiccups along the way) I have my baby up and running. I took it to the store technician to make sure everything was in the right place and with a few minor adjustments, he showed me how to set up the soft ware and a brand new computer have I all done from scratch.
It was kinda funny when one of the female workers at the store asked me if I had ever built one before or took a course and I said no. I learned building a computer is certainly not the easiest thing you will ever do BUT with lots of patience and a willingness to learn as you go along - it can be done and I am living proof. I would invite more ladies to try doing it themselves its quite a rewarding experience, don't be afraid to ask for advice from the sales people and armed with a good screwdriver and a knowledge of what you want type of work you want to do with the computer you are off and ready to go.

As for saying to the ladies.... that with a little patience and a willingness to learn, and don't be afraid to ask for advice..... I think you might be pushing the boundaries here....

Sometimes all the ladies need is a little push, stuff like this is intimidating to many of us you know. I remember when I opened up a computer for the first time and saw all the wires and stuff, and I felt grateful to hand it over to someone else to fix. However, I always felt if you owned one of these things you should at least try to figure out something about what goes on under the hood. I was actually fun and a great learning experience. Who knows some other CS lady might read this and be inspired to go build one of her own too.
