I have just gone back to my home page to see what interesting threads might catch my eye and could not help but notice the difference between the "International" and "European" threads.
Top 4 listed on International:- 1. Google 2. Randomly post what is on the mind of the one above you 3. How to fix the toilet 4. what songs are you listening to right now.
Top 4 listed European:- 1. Deppression...... what is it ? how do you turn the corner ? 2. Forced sterilisation 3.Illegal immigration. 4. Cephei
For Gods sake Europe... lighten up.... this is a dating site.... you know.... fun !

Not fair at all.
Somebody asked today for meatier threads and a particular long-standing member has gone all out to provide them.
If you read the EU forum regularly instead of just taking a snapshot viewpoint you will get a true feel of what it is all about.
You might want to dig a little deeper, there's all sorts of threads in the EU forums, other than the four you've listed. They just happen to be at the top of the page is all.
I do agree though, there is a difference in the varied forums on the site, that's why I visit all of them.

Thank you kid, that´s exactly what I was trying to say,but you said it much nicer than me!
The EU forum is fantastic, and the only reason I log in to CS, though I do float occasionally as you do.

Hi Jan
Maybe CS should hire me as their diplomacy director, and fly me to all the places I want to go to promote the site. I'd even wear one of their T shirts if they were paying for the air fare.

Hi Jan,
You are right of course, along with Kid... it's just that I happened to visit the "top" page at what was probably a very inopportune moment.
I do not take snapshots of peoples opinion....... it insults them.... so I look deeper. It was maybe the wrong time to look at "headers" on the forums.....
You think that's bad, just look at the California threads: * Re: CS members last post by gangel Aug 26, 2009 * which would you prefer to do at a first date with an ugly chick? last post by benkontera Aug 24, 2009 * I BET NONE OF YOU ARE DECENT CITIZENS DONE ANY VOLUNTEER WORK OR PUBLIC DUTIES ? last post by AnuShiAsta Aug 23, 2009 * I BET NONE OF YOU CAN PERFORM MAGIC READ MINDS TELL THE FUTURE OR HAVE ANY SPECIAL GIFTS OR POWERS ? last post by gillyloves69 Aug 5, 2009
Not only the topics, but 3 of the 4 OPs are from Europe. It's not that there are others to choose from, either. Only one new thread was posted in all of August.

Just my observation though
Was that a back-handed apology? If so, accepted. You certainly made a very crass statement based on a second or two of groundless observations.
Maybe you should contribute a little more to the EU forum to get a more balanced view of what goes on there. However, if fixing toilets and the person above me floats your boat, then you will be sorely disappointed.
RDM59: Exactly ...... they can be slow at times though.
Alright there Kid ? ...
All's good here, thanks.
Yep, the Canadian forums are slow, sometimes not a single post for a day or more. The individual US state forums are nearly dead, which makes me wonder if anyone even reads them.

Are you an Englishman abroad or a European?
Hi Jan, No, it was not a backhanded apology at all, but just an acceptance of your opinion, and Kids.
Did I make a "crass" statement.... or did I just make an observation...... Call it "crass" if you wish. We will just have to differ on the true definition of "crass"
Should I contribute more to the EU forums ?..... Definately not.... I will contribute to the forum that has something constructive to say.... I don't care where in the world it's coming from.
I live in Europe, born in the UK now living in Italy, been to many other European countries and bearing in mind there are a whole lot of other countries in Europe, I can honestly say, my view is not balanced...... can you say the same and can you level such a crass comment at me.... ? JMHO
I was just over there reading and I learned something valuable. You can teach a cow to crap but you can't teach it to flush. That is a very funny thread, and educational too.

Hi. Well actually I can say I believe my view is balanced, as I too have lived in many European and non European countries. Though always away from the ex-pat zones which perhaps makes a difference.
Incidentally, your previous post states that your view is NOT balanced, was that a typo?
Your thread was, you have to admit, based on a snapshot view of the forums and not on any actual experience of participating on the EU forum, in fact it seemed to be a criticism, which was why I responded in the manner I did being a regular participant on the EU forum.
If you have anything interesting to say then the EU forum will welcome you with open arms, but if you are only interested in the thread topics you mentioned then you are right in your assumption that the Inters are more suited to your personality, though we do have fun often, contrary to popular belief.

Horses for courses Englishman.
I have always avoided ex-pats regardless of what country I am in, particularly the self opinionated Brits who seem to think, like the Americans, that the world owes them a living.
My post did state that it was NOT balanced, because I am not so stupid as to believe that just because I have lived or worked in 10 or so countries in Europe I now have a balanced opinion. Europe is a big place, like the States..... If I said to an Amreican that because I had been to Oklahoma, Nevada and Texas, that I now had a balanced opinion of the USA,,,, what do you think they would say ?
Oh..... and by the way.... I have actually experienced participating on the EU forums, and realise there is good and bad in any gender, race, creed or colour withought bringing geographic locations into it.
Whether the EU will welcome me with open arms because I have something interesting to say, is only of their opinion, so lets not get all sanctamonious about this.
Freedom of speech.......... Mine.... as well as yours !!

It is a dating site. They are just weeding out all of the depressed, clipped, illegal alien problem solvers.
