YouMeUs: The most significant event of President Bush’s tenure came on September 11, 2001, when terrorists killed nearly 3,000 people on American soil. President Bush responded with a comprehensive strategy to protect the American people. He led the most dramatic reorganization of the federal government since the beginning of the Cold War, reforming the intelligence community and establishing new institutions like the Department of Homeland Security. He built global coalitions to remove violent regimes in Afghanistan and Iraq that threatened America – liberating more than 50 million people from tyranny. He recognized that freedom and hope are the best alternative to the extremist ideology of the terrorists, so he provided unprecedented American support for young democracies and dissidents in the Middle East and beyond. In the more than seven years after September 11, 2001, the United States was not attacked again.
Electing this current idiot was the biggest mistake. At least BUSH kept us safe from terror..this guy wants to rehabilitate them and treat them with kid gloves. Who are you kidding?
In fAct the world was made safer by takeing out the talibon in afganistan destroying there headquarters and training facility but we should have stopped there. Whe Osama was hit in afganistan he said he made a big mistake he did not think we would react like we did but then we messed up so bad in Iraq then afganistan it turned into the best thing that could have happened to the taliban
rubyruby: Neither war made america more secure. The tightened homeland security did.
I got that information from a US government website. I'm almost certain that write-up was based on actual facts, not speculations, opinions or the media.

Of course the gov. Is going to self applaud + grandiose.
Not only is it important 2 look tough, but also to keep morale with the troops placed in war zones.
The terrorists knew america would react with war, therefore helping the terrorists recruiting agenda, and making a mockery of what moderate islamists opinions had been formally of the US.
Before 9/11, those that were commiting attrocities were extremist nutjobs. Now we see how america has done so much to damage in there countries, that unfortunately we see moderates getting outraged + cataclysmically pissed
rubyruby: WMD'S, halliburtons oil contracts....I could go on
Check again who got those Iraqi Oil-Leases! And Saddam Hussein was an Idiot pretending he had WMDs. Then maybe he had. No one knows what went to Syria on those Trucks in the first days of the War!
YouMeUs: I'm sorry, Bush was the President of the United States and he did his job to protect the citizens against further attacks from terrorists. What was your leader doing to protect your country against them?
My honest opinion?, I think that had the US not have retaliated they way they did and for the reasons they did, then yes the UK and the rest of Europe would have dealt with the terrorists on our own terms without creating the mayhem that has turned honest everyday people into Muslim haters. I have no problem with America looking after its own, but I draw the line at it deciding to attack other countries and drawing Nato into wars that are unwinnable and not succeeding. Maybe if all that money wasted on killing so many had been used to research renewable energy, the compelling need for America to gain control of the worlds oil would not be so important. Lets be honest here, oil and other natural resources are the primary reason the USA is involved with wars, the death and destruction of BIN L et al is really of a secondary importance. IMO.

I would like to think that most people do not view all Muslims as terrorists, but only a few. And those cannot be denied, as they have proven their intentions.
I find your last statement most interesting, however. Can you provide facts to support your words or is this stemming from media propaganda?
