the threads because of this.But,as I read the forums
and what was being said in them,I felt a need to join
in because others (members) were having fun discussing

friends and also foes.

to become a part of the pack,so to speak?

I spent some time just reading the threads, it helped me get an idea of the people here.
In most cases people talked freely and decently towards one another.
I didn't feel intimidated at all, just amazed and relieved that the people on here are clever, intelligent, witty and generally great to listen to. ( I suppose 'read' would be the appropriate word there )
So I found it easy to jump in and have my say.
I have never really been part of the pack. At least I don't think I am.
I see myself as a background character.
I make the occasional comment, weird in most cases. Then fade back into the woodwork so-to-speak.
In most cases people talked freely and decently towards one another.

I still get a little intimidated by a few members. I've been watching for a while...and I've slowly started joining in. I usually try to stick to the lighter side posts as I see people get really upset when their opinions are put to the test...or opposed. I think it's the same with myself as with a lot of others here...you get ignored in the beginning. Maybe because there is such a tight nit friendship here on CS...people are not sure what your intentions are at first??
