I can't say I agree with this personally. I work with quite a few guys who have been clean-shaven sometimes & had full beards other times over the years. They're great guys who definitely have plenty of personality & confidence.
That doesn't mean I'm right though....it's just my experience.
My ROT? I swear by this one: When men or women tell their partners 'they don't know what they want' it usually means they don't want what they have.

i was always outgoing with or with out a beard wore one for years at wife's request she must have thought i was ugly or something but when she was gone so was the beard

Interesting point of view . Did not know you met everyone with a beard .
A couple of my friends have full beards . One is a major pillar of his community . He has done many things to help people out .
My point of view is that he wouldn't be able to do the things he does and connect with the people he does without a personality .
It's usually the ones without a personality that don't connect with those of us who do because they are afraid to connect with others and afraid to express themselves .My opinion .
I myself get noticed more when I have a goatee .
I hope you meet some people with personality .

What you want is a proof. So if there exists a man with a beard who also possesses personality and confidence - then that would disprove your assertion.
So we just need well known examples such as Abraham Lincoln, Richard Branson, Rolf Harris, Captain Birds-Eye, or Father Christmas. (ok, non-fictional would be better).
