wordsmith99Lyon, Rhone-Alpes France2 Threads 399 PostsAs we were flying into Lyon yesterday the pilot said it was 2 degrees in Lyon and SNOWING! But by the time we landed it was just freezing sleet. Does that count as first snow?

Not a flake... plenty cold though here in Manchester, maybe a flake or two forecast for later in the week . My colleagues in Heiden (CH) have had lots recently and I'm really rather jealous :(

never had that here..But I remember when i was a child, and the snow was way high every winter, must have been 3 meters, and it was always snowing, and "just" -20 here. We still had to go to school, and it was uphill both ways...
Anyways... -10-12 is normal here for winter, but -40 ffs...

That actually is a definite concern, with the sun's rays bouncing off the snow, if you're dumb enough to take your clothes off out there.
