Good idea. I'd love to see your map.
I live in village with only 200 people. But it's close to LARNACA, CYPRUS.

Just for the fun of you searching, my brother lives in OUAGADOUGOU. But he's not on CS, being married.

scoutmaster: As we all know this is a global chatt forum and I see people here from all over the world, I thought it would be fun to mark on a world map the location of everyone however some of the little cities that are listed on your profiles dont show up on the world map. If you could state the nearest large city to where you are I will put a pin in the map for you, then after a few days I will post a pic of the map and everyone can see just how global this chatt is,

thank you

Ogdensburg, Northern New York State, a city of around 15,000. Its right on the St Lawrence Seaway, and I can see Canada from here.

Ottawa is only about 45 miles from here, and Syracuse is about 150 miles South West.

Since this can also turn into the smallest town. The town I live near has 9 houses, 2 which are empty, 4 houses only have one person in. Total population 12 people. Anyone live near a smaller community?

Location: halfway between Brandon and Winnipeg and the USA border.

Gosh this is an interesting thread....thumbs up

I live in Coromandel Valley in the Adelaide Hills... so named after a convict ship 'The Coromandel".. When the ship was near Glenelg - up the Gulf the convict jumped off and swam to shore, and ran up to the hills. They settled in this valley... hence Coromandel Valley.

The graveyard around the corner has headstones dating back to 1850.... remember Aust is only about 160 years old... populated that is... so I like it here... and I like to know that relics of the past are here too.

I'll be a relic soon.. rolling on the floor laughing

Jeepers: When I went to Puerto Rico to visit some of my relatives that were living there then, I went to Vieques Island's Festival. I had a lot of fun with my kids there. Have you been to Vieques Island? conversing

Yes you can. On the google maps. On the search for (space), type your own address (addreess, city, state/province, country). Than press search. You can zoom in or zoom out on these maps. You can even get directions from one place to another. These maps are very usefull. Which is why, many people from small communities (especialy women) like/should, put as their address, the nearest larger community or area.
