pyr1mid: I reckon that most of the time they've given their opinion by the way the question is phrased or the tone they've taken
Maybe but nice to respond if challenged on their opinions like the rest of us left to debate. I know also time differences plays it part but known as seeing OPs having no more input from the original question, especially the more inane threads.
elsson: Does anyone find it frustrating when OPs post a question and leave us to it without coming back to their own thread to give an opinion????
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh Yeahhhhhhhhh! This is a real bone of contention for me, too! Or ones who ask your opinion or advice and then crap all over you for giving it. Nards to those boogers!

You are right mate, but, a few just post and leave the rest of us to sort out the mess.

Entirely up to the OP of the thread whether they participate or not. There are no rules in cyberworld to say they got to come back and justify what they have or have not answered, or even obliged to do so. Most reasonable people will do if they are truly interested in the thread they created. Some people create threads just to simply see what other people have to say.
If they dont post perhaps email them asking why they have not responded or posted on the thread created.

Fair point, but I quite like how the inane ones seem to run and run, and often are nothing to do with whatever the original question was

yep i agree its annoying-and maybe a tad disrespectful-like asking a question then leaving the room while your still answering.

Those with the Inane Tbreads are the Windup Artists. They sit back and watch what develops!

Hehehe. As I could see, most of them were newcomers, scammers or just couldn't handle all the chaos they had caused with their threads. That's the fun then-hijacking the thread

Interesting when a thread goes completely off topic and people get into personal battles which I find are just ridiculous. Rather than than actually talk with reason and share knowledge, these people seem to like to try and out do one another in terms of what they know.

I don't recall anything in the rules that state that the OP of a thread has to keep it going.
No I don't find it frustrating.I've got a lot more important things in my life to worry about then whether someone chooses to keep their thread going.

Not questioning the rules, gosh if we did that we could rip apart mant posts and threads I just said I found it frustrating answering a question and the poster never gets back to the thread.

Hi there Somechick--was a little surprised at your take on this, but do respect your point of view. To me, it's a matter of courtesy, I guess. If someone begins a thread either in the form of a question or a statement which implies other responses, and then doesn't continue to participate, it leaves the rest wondering why he/she posted in the first place. Probably what is going on is this person is dancing around a lot of the different topic/threads/posts and gets more interested in one or the other. You are right that it's not worth getting "frustrated" over--this I totally agree with. (What are you going to do about it, anyhow)? So I validate your response completely with the side comment that the poster(s) in question are discourteous. Fair enough?
