China Earthquake Raises Questions, Concerns
by Mike Krumboltz

Apr 14, 2010

As an overall the magnate of earthquakes is increasing, the proof of that is the increase number of tsunamis. What do you think is going to happen when those gigantic polar caps start breaking off, some as large as some European countries. I know it can be perceptive and yes there has always been ridicules amount of earthquakes per day. But here is a question for you dear Conrad- how does logic help when the world is slowly being destroyed right before our eyes? confused

Avoiding mass hysteria & doomsday cults would I imagine be a priority for most world goverments

However when the san andreas fault finnaly gives it up & the west coast of America slips into the ocean I suppose people may sit up & take notice then....

The race is on to make another planet habitable ...
turning one into a garbage scow apparently isnt enough for the powers that be ..
All we can do as humans with conscience is to teach our children to reduce reuse recycle
in the hope that humans develop into more enviromentally responsible species

I don’t think its possible to be environmentally friendly Kizzy unless there is a major reduction in population. Now that is a big issue because every nation wants to grow and compete against another technologically.

I totally agree with you on hysteria- war of the worlds comes to mind.

Try introducing power to the poor people of Africa and help make them rich? There are countries that haven’t got the basic food or water supplies because of the so called do gooders that want them to remain poor? So they can collect charity dollars to feed themselves from other peoples miseries,

Name one western country that is over populated? By becoming consumers we get jobs and create jobs, keeping other people poor is a racket, Africa alone has more recourses than us, but they are dieing and being forced to live in poverty?

Educate the poor so they can learn to work and feed themselves? More people living a good standard of life means less kid being borne, because at the moment the death toll on kids in poorer countries means if they want kids they have to consider just how many will die before they make adulthood?

Just consider yourselves lucky that you were borne in a decent country that looks after its people?

Brilliant post , probably the only western country that may be over populated could be the USA but they do seem to be able to cope well with their current population.

The other problem in some of the African nations isnt just the " do gooders" but their dictator regime governments who try & prevent their people from having a better standard of life to add fear .

Thankyou Blizzard for a wonderful post handshake

But this is about consumption and generating more non perishable goods. Just the plastic packaging is in billions of tons, glass etc. very little is been recycled, yet we continuously open new mines. doh

Glass breaks down to become sand, simular to what it was made from?
Most plastics and metals are recycled now, future technologies will find the old dumping sites now as potential gold mines, there are already old dumping sites that are used as power generation by using the methane gas escaping from the rotting material,
don’t panic! There are a lot more smarter people than you or me working on these things now,

I think too that its incredibly sad that people are dying in other countries from diseases that no longer exist here. I think that we, as prosperous nations, really need to take a long hard look at ourselves.
