So sorry for your pain and what you are going thru. I could not be with my father due to some life circumstances when he passed. He passed alone. 
I worried to about making a peace. One day when I was at home alone I felt it in my heart the peace was made. I did not have to be there (tho I would of liked to) to make peace. It was an inside job. Please take care of yourself and do not beat yourself up some things in life we have no control over
