tainogirl: Don't people marry for all sorts of reasons? Good and Bad? I've seem both men and women go after cash? I don't know that there is any specific culture that ONLY marries for money, on the other hand if the person is coming from an improvished country and you are a foreigner of some means, then knowing this you take your chances, I'm sure there could be room for LOVING YOU AS WELL AS YOUR MONEY.

And its not just asian but I also have south american friends. Same dealio. They marry the guy for his money ONLY!!!! Dont think any different no matter how "nice" they act. I know what they say in private.......

Well...it would be nice to think people marry for love but it is also true independent people no longer need to marry for economic reasons. I have sympathy for people who are in a situation they wish to change, but respect them more for being honest about it from the beginning than trying to pretend and convince you otherwise and then wham ...I want to marry you or money to stay in your country. This applies every where in the world.

That’s very true, and just because of certain persons does, and bad previous personal experiences they had coz of their own decision in the past, so they got fooled for money, 1 continent/ 2 races get bashed for “money oriented title”.. I have sympathy for those independent persons who stand with pride & have a life, being accused for meal ticket/citizenship grabber for some unreasonable thoughts.. from narrow minded head..
yet.. the brain works their ways each head.. so… it is ones right to have any kind of thoughts..

Jack68: I think you are talking about they marry to get residence permit in US but most asian mens go to EU and US and they pay some woman not all money accordind to the paper marriage agreement between them for getting residency

I am agreed with you because japan is a big economic power in the world and men and womens from poor nation some of them used this method to get residency but i have seen many old swedish men bring young wives from thailand and philpine to bring happiness in their life.They also know that they will leave them once they received permanent residence at most in a three year time but they need some one to be near them or company.
