I just reread this entire thread objectively.
The OPs opening lines I saw as an open question from a frustrated person - who really wants a true answer.
In his further posts I do not see any insultments towards anyone - only a hand stretched out: "Hey try to understand my way of thinking/opinions" In a nice way. We all still have a lot to learn - one way isn`t better than another.
But he almost only met harsh words - sarcasm and bitter remarks.
And for hurt feelings about something that a lot of people shares and treasures - it is just not fair to go with: "Arrrgh, can`t You take a joke??" It is not funny when people get hurt!
I am in for the freedom of speech - like all on this site - but please remember it is for ALL.
But I do not see the freedom of speech as an instrument to intentionally point the whip in only one direction - with the intention only to hurt.. There must be respect in what we want to say to each other.
And I wish more people were able to distinguish between religion - culture - regions and small minorities. Not brushing all with one colour. I don`t think any culture or religion could survive that.
The path is long and hard if it is only built on hard bitter remarks - go back and read this thread through once again - with an open heart You will see my point!
We have so much more in common than our differences!

Liebe2: It's that English I reminded the person in question that he has the freedom of choice. As for me criticizing Kuwait, I am stating facts that support my idea that there's no such thing as perfect religion/culture/country and we all have/should have the liberty to choose what's best for us. Education? Knowledge, that is what I mean. You do not even know that most ME countries are ruled by kings
This is an international website - which means that we are not all brought up with the english language.
Being an international website, the opportunity to communicate with people from all over the world in (in this case english) is a unigue chance to discover new ideas - thoughts and friendship.
I would like to see Your post if You would answer this in danish??

I could answer in Danish as well, that's what the online translators are for However, I could also answer in Spanish, Italian and if I struggle a bit in Russian. Of course as well as in Romanian.
