Godsgift: Well, personally, I'm looking for a woman, not a stick insect or a skeleton. If she looks fragile, she's not for me. Need a girl who can wrestle a bit and fight back!

Time to get the KTM outdevil

jac379: I'm a tailor.

I think the fashion industry has a lot to answer for. I have two theories for why models are so skinny. The first is so that the clothes when modelled look as close to the original design as possible, ie. a 2D drawing. The second is that a lot of famous fashion designers are gay men who prefer narrow hips and flat chests.

I think the fashion and dieting industries rely on making women feel crap about themselves - yo yo dieting, changing dress sizes and buying new stuff to make yourself feel good. To me this is stupid. I'm sure 10 times as much could be made from making women feel good about themselves, but sadly, instead of this change the industry is now impinging on men and the way they feel about themselves.

I can make anyone look a million dollars regardless of their weight. If I'm making theatrical costumes for an entire cast, I'm inspired by each individual and their shape. It would be damned boring if everybody was the same. If you pushed me, however, I'd say I'm more inspired by a curvy woman than a painfully thin one.

I once saw a fashion show in a shopping mall. The models were young and beautiful, but in no way small and skinny. Surrounding the catwalk was a gaggle of men standing in their own drool, wide eyed and open-mouthed, staring at these busty young wenches. What does that tell you?

lisalou1509: Do most guys prefer a adverage to thin girl?? Does the chance of a girl having a few extra pounds really put a guy off???

Don't worry. If a girl is too thin, then she is just a bone or a tree stick. Who wants to hug a bone or a stick?laugh

I think skinny minnies are attractive. But I also like some extra meat on the bones. But not too much. Some guys out there really go for the big large women, though none of 'em would ever admit it in public. So I guess for me it would be the same as in my profile. I like average size, curvy, and a few extra pounds. banana

deadnlovely: I'll propose another question: at what weight does your body feel strong, energetic and healthy? Go with that and the guys will come along :)

That's like...

F'in brilliant! wow

This guy needs some serious kudos. thumbs up

Myself, I'm totally OK with a woman being 'doughy'. :)

I do prefer a somewhat more slender woman- Something about all those subtle curves and shapes, for the 'thin' women, and the muscle tone and motion beneath the skin for the 'athletic' types.

Alas, the world is my garden, and while the roses they are lovely, I appreciate all of the lovely shapes and colors. wink

cherrybrandy: what about the "skinny"jeans? sorry to rub it in,just hate to see so many bad looking ppl.out there ...

Some people look fantastic in skinny jeans. I've said it before, I'll say it again, ignore fashion, dieting and body-type trends and go with what you've got. If you're looking good in what you wear, you don't make social faux pas with dress codes, either.
