Well dear sir you had better hope that the government do not stomp on drinkers the way they have smokers otherwise you wont be sitting at the bar waiting for your meal.lol lol
I am quite certain men like woman can do just about what ever they wanted alot chose not to is all.
I have had some great meals at pubs and find them better value than cuisine type restuarants or cafes..

Wanderer69: Hi BBWfansdream

I don't want to undersell your effort but please allow me to use your tasks as an example and give me time as I am sure you will get my point.

I work in construction usually (mines and process plant)and as a team have built some impressive structures, many tonnes of concrete, some hi tech control systems and the odd ancillary kitchen (lunch rooms) at the moment I am responsible for the construction of a multimillion dollar Coal Preparation plant...Your tasks are not impressive in their own right. But for you they represent an achievement to be proud of.

The things I have been pleased with myself have been doing the little things like sort the bank accounts and bills. At work I have people to pay the bills once I have reviewed and approved them I never go near a bank. These were probably things you did with a yawn...

How about setting up a bed and bedroom how you want it...I never had this opportunity while married as I just left it to the wife...

My point is it is about challenging to do things outside your own experience and learning new things not about showing we can do without the other gender.

Guys Hang on for the Ride.... ;-D

I think you made a good point wanderer. How many get stuck in a comfort zone and are fearful for one reason or another of stepping out of it or have been raised to a specific way of thinking let alone doing that keeps them in that so called comfort zone.
And wtg with your achievements as a team member and as an individual.
A man or womans small step forward is a great leap forward for all of man kind.

Wanderer, you obviously found something in BBWs post that I didnt.

I do agree with your point and you've summed up exactly what we've all been trying to say - being single has challenged us to do things that we would not likely have tried had we been part of a couple.

I honestly believe that we are much more rounded individuals for the challenge. I know when I go into the bathroom I feel a certain sense of pride that 'I did that' feeling... grin

serene56: Greetings

Was just pondering on the single life and wondering how many of us have learned to do things for ourselves that we used to have done for us

You know, like maybe someone else used to do most of the chores around the house or check the tyres on the car, mow the lawn, cook the meals and so on.

Obviously as singles, there's things we HAVE to do, or maybe always have done, but is there stuff you've taken on, like cooking and found you're pretty good at it

Personally, I've always been handy around the house and like to think I know my way around a tool and the occasional screw

How about you

I'm good at stuff, and doing things.cowboy

Never had anyone to do any of it for me, it's always been just me, doing it all.

Nope, because other son has this and is overseas devil

So I cannot get into my own garage and get my firewood out frustrated

And no one around to help me break into my own garage and get my wood so my house is freezing today and I have no backup heater (as shouldnt need one!)

so have had to turn my electric blanket on high and hangout in my bedroom to stay warm until I find a solution or way to get into my garage.

ps. Where is a man when I need one

pps. Any tools that I may need to break into my garage, are in my garage dunno

I don't mind doing any of it, really, cooking, cleaning, auto repairs, building flower planters, renovating, whatever...

It would be nice to have someone to share the workload with occasionally, among other things. grin

I'm building a bed for my daughter. The cool part is that I don't have to build it to her mothers specification !
