As an illegal immigrant you cannot get:
a driver license
a legitimate job
a social security card (unless you stole it from someone)
welfare
foodstamps
free healthcare or education
and many are servicemen themselves.
In order to get any of those you must provide evidence of citizenship or in the case of education, driver license and SS card a visa...
Those are the ones I know for sure, I don't know about subsidized housing but I seriously doubt that one too. We print public documents in numerous languages.
As we all know, they will give a credit card to a dog so an illegal alien is not out of the realm of possibility.
I know for a fact that undocumented residents do not get any type of foodstamps, cash assistance, medicaid, and like I said I doubt subsidized housing as well.
The problem here is that so many many people are spreading these untruths so scared that someone else might get something they had to pay for. Fact is EVERY ONE who gets those programs is an American born citizen. You might not like the fact that illegals come here and have babies but once they are on this earth they are AMERICAN CITIZENS!!! They get sick, they go to the ER. They know they cannot be turned away.. It is the law. But that is why ER costs are so high.
The uninsured and people who do not pay, have to be covered by the people who DO.

I Live in a FREE Country in which Americans are allowed in no matter what, they can get their I.D., then Work, buy a Home, whatever they want.
I am Danish, and have, if I am lucky enough, 90 days with my American Daughter....but will not risk 2.000 dollars for that, I have her come and visit me, when she has time off in College.
But very soon Rules will change, i read alot about this, American Citizens will need all requirements to Travel to several Countries too, which is fair.
Sorry for my disagreeing, but I happen to be in a big stew thanks to the Laws in the US....I mean, I do have an American Daughter plus a clean Slate..nevertheless I am told at the Embassy not to risk the money......how sad is that...?
