I have told.... My bestfriends girlfriend came over intoxicated and said she knew he was cheating on her (which he was), wanted to know where he was and then got very friendly. I asked her to sit for a moment, then went into the bedroom and called him at his other girlfriends house (yeah, I know. What can you do though, he WAS my friend). He called her back on her cell and she had explaining to do. They're still together lol
After my marriage ended, due to infidelity, a number of stories came out about my ex coming on to women. No one came forward during my marriage, only after. I would definitely take the risk and tell...I spent many years looking for a sign to validate my internal insticnts and couldn't find anything. When I finally did find out, I said thank you to him because now I know I can trust in myself and that voice inside of me that was screaming "run."
I definatly would tell. I sure as heck would hope that my friend would tell me in return if the shoe was on the other foot.
And even if I was to be attracted I would never act upon it because I am not like that and would never ever hurt my friend period.

You said Best Friend ?? ... Life is very simple ... if you follow your heart and not your harmones most times. Friends, especially Best Friends are few and far between so risk it all on one play ??? there is such a thing as common sense ... dah

well, i cant say i would NEVER fall for my best friends wife... you never know... but if i did... love is everything, so i would go for it
Thank you for a most honest reply...I don't think anyone was paying attention to the part about "what if you were attracted to"...it is easy to sit in judgement when YOUR emotions are not in play...but what if they were?

I would tell my friend no matter what. Even if I was equally attracted to the husband/boyfriend, I could never be the other woman. To me, that guy is totally off limits. I would tell her because she would deserve to know, and any woman deserves better than that (especially my friend).

Valid point.... if you don't believe your own friend deserves honesty from you then are they really your friend.... or better yet are you really theirs.... If you feel that attraction and have to act on it well..... What goes around....
If I was a real friend, I would have to. After being hit on I don't think I would have much respect for that person.
Nope - I've seen this scenario unfold too many times. They usually kiss and make up and the messenger gets shot. I wouldn't breathe a word...
If your friend shoots you down for telling them they're being fooled then they are truely the fool and probably aren't as good a friend as you'd like to think. Always be true to yourself and your friends even if you think it might cost you in the end. Better to be shot down for being honest than to be stabbed in the back later or having your trust in them violated some other way.
Nope, been there, done that, and I'm telling you - this is not about the third party. Stay clear of the entire issue and let them work out their problems themselves! It is, after all, their problem!
Well if that were to happen I would keep my mouth shut & hope that the quilt would make that one think about the stupid mistake they made. I would feel for my friend & know if this was done behind the one's back how many more time's will it & has it. But I would never trust being in the same room with the cheater. If it were me & a friend came to me & told me about something like this I would just say "hey" you want this or that person so bad go for it. But I don't think I'd be able to trust my so called friend anymore/the friendship would be a gonner ! Or on the other hand I may want to talk it out "BUT THE TRUST WOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN FADED" SO IT'S HARD TO SAY. The person in this type of situation should know what do since it would concern them.
You don't hurt your best friend. I'd probably say nothing but rebuke the advance for sure.

yep, sure would tell me friend.....happened to me ...was leaving my best pals place, her man copped a feel and I was "troubled", for a better choice of words.......so, I called onto my pal, told her to walk me to the door???? and right there told her what he did.........she went upstairs, and kicked his butt out.....no questions asked.....I did feel bad cause I thought they were an item....my pal said that he is not worth our friendship.....and had the roles been reversed, she would have done the same.........
