I believe to travel along life's paths, we are well advised to seek out a qualified guild.
Something while reading a post in this thread that came to my mind.
Some people say Tibet was medieval state or something. However I noticed they imprisoned murders in a compound straight out the found of the Patala so they could spend the rest of there life with a front row seat. They put a sort of oxen Yoke on the shoulders of thieves that restrained the thieves hands. That meant the person became completely reliant on fellow human brothers and sisters for all his/her needs, to pee, eat whatever... We all think we know, there lays the rot

I believe life is a sum of our actions and since perceiving is an action word how one perceives things that happen to them in life. I can either roll over and die and see myself as a victim or I can see myself as a student on the road of life. I choose to be the student.
DodgeBabe: Is where we are in life down to our actions, or is it down to some superior force?
Does it matter what we do, how we treat others, or how much we achieve? Is it all pre-destined?
Or is it really worth the effort to try and make a difference?
We are born with a personality, intellect etc., so they are the building blocks. Then it is what we emulate and what is taught. How we use these "skills" is up to us. Predestined no. Superior force, no. Coincidences.....sometimes it feels like predestined. How we treat others does matter. For the most part you get what you give, back. Sometimes it doesn't seem to matter...some people are just not worth knowing.

Our Western interpretation of 'Karma' is a little inaccurate. The 'what goes around, comes around' concept, in reality, is quite false. Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. We can see this everyday.
Karma, as was once explained to me by a philosophy post-graduate, is the concept of 'where one is now can be traced back to a simple decision one made some time in the past'. This, I believe to be true.
Predestiny is a rather nebulous abstraction. The course of one's life is a series of responses to random environmental events and choices. To believe this is pre-ordained is quite illogical.
To paraphrase Frank Herbert, 'In a universe of infinite size, and of infinite time, infinite possibilities exist.' quote]
Yes... I tend to agree with you. We always have a choice...

What you see is what you'll be. In other words, if you look at life in a negative mindset, that is exactly what you will draw into your life. Look for the positive and you will draw that. Simple, try it

Interesting take on Karma, ...iv always thoguht it to be pre-destiny, as you explained it, which i9 have found to be quite illogical as well, why i don't really believe in karma in that essence..
, in retrospect, i have thought to decisions i have made or not made in the past, and thought if i had....things could be this or that, i would not call , my responses pre-ordained, but simply put down to *who* you are, for sure i wish i had taken more intitiative in sum past decisions, but life is a learning experience, and that was my choice then...i do though BELIEVE if i had chosen diffently , things would most probably be different
What will be ..will be, hmmm, i can't say a agree with that intiative has to be grasped...things are more than chance, i ust read my Frank herbert books...LOL

Sorry, just wanted to make this clear - the posting went wrong somehow. I did not post the top part, only the bottom bit....
"Yes, I tend to agree with you. We always have a choice!"
I don't think we ALWAYS have a choice about what happens to us, but we do have a choice in how we respond to that... I am also going to read up about Frank Herbert - sounds interesting!
