Some women can take you for granted. Lol. I moved in with a woman a few years back and it was pointed out to me that I wasn't a guest in the house but part of the home. With that came responsibilty for DIY, grass cutting etc etc etc etc! When we split she said it was because I had become too domesticated and that the 'fun' me was gone!!
So from that day to this I never lift a finger!!

i never give 'tanks' to men - if they treat me well i show appreciation, if someone opens a door for me or acts like a gentleman, i say 'thanks'
if all you want is for women/girls to thank you....open a lot of doors or behave like a gentleman. the only wine a gentleman indulges in is a good full bodied red!
Its terrible to be taken for granted but sometimes we allow people to do that to us aswell. One thing that can happen is that you do something when you feel is a big deal and the other person doesnt appreciate how you feel and think its just "what you do!". Good communication from the start can help sort that out.
As for me, I have found that I am incapable of taking anyone for granted. I think that I would love to be secure enough in my life for once to be able to do so, just a little bit.

Dont go judging every one the same though, you might meet someone genuine and blow it by treating her worse because of an ex, always be yourself, most women r decent (i think)

awww It doesn't mean its a bad thing however after awhile you do get used to having certain things taken care of for example, we grow accustomed to certain behaviours & sadly sometimes do take things for granted
I dated a guy for years, he was a big car fanatic so I never once ever had to worry about anything i.e car been serviced etc I just took it for granted that he would take care of the general maintance etc i.e
- he'd check the oil
- tyre pressure
- have it serviced when need be etc etc
THE RESULT:
I still call him if I have problems, however thereafter I learned to do all the above myself... when one day I realised after a couple of months of single life my wee car was missing him ha ha
