We buried my ex husband 2 weeks ago, we had been seperated a long time but had 4 children together so he was still part of my life.
We made all the plans in accordance to what we thought he would have wanted as he died suddenly and left no instuctions.
I am afraid I am not yet at the stage where I can offer any great words of comfort to you, except that this to will pass.

I am very sorry for your loss Northof7. Last year in August, I buried my sweet cousin who died totally unexpectedly. I was in grief for quite awhile. I was not the executor of her estate but I was the Power of Attorney for Health Care decisions.
The hardest for me was to tell the doctors not to do anything heroic for her and to let her complete her journey. She had a double brain hemmorhage and stroke and was literally a vegetable on life support for 4 days before passing.That was the toughest moment of my life to make the life and death decision. I have no regrets as I knew my cousin's wishes. She was a vibrant, elegant, beautifu woman who turned the head of any guy that saw her. She was a total knockout in beauty and personality.
Time will heal your pain but you will always have pleasant memories of your loved one to carry with you thru life.
