Removing or changing variables in a situation makes no two situations the same. But I mean when you meet someone and things are great then after a while things start to change. Personally, I think people try too hard to impress the person they are trying to get with, and over time the real person in them comes out. Then comes the question, why don't you love me the same, or why did you change or whatever. Does anyone agree? Is it that hard just to be yourself?? If the person you like or want to date doesn't like the real you, then they don't deserve you.

i dont think that people actually really change......i think its just theyr priorities at certain times change.......which can create distance between a couple i spose

I think people continually evolve and change, the secret of a long lasting relationship is adaptability, as long as the love is still there, if that goes you might as well part.

I agree, I think adapting and compromise are huge components to a healthy relationship, but thats just me.

damn right people change, but not as much as you say about trying too hard. Yes that happens but also people change as they go through life. Of course you're right, we should be ourselves but also a relationship is also a compromise so one should be willing to meet half way.
That said, situations change, life changes you and we are individuals so we don't always change in the same direction. The fact is however much you love someone, one day, some years down the road, you wake up next to this total stranger and wonder what the hell you're doing there!

Disagree here though.... there is no reason for the excitement to be lost if we embrace change, adapt, evolve. LIFE is exciting.... with two people who really know that, there is always something to be excited about... it can be all-day-foreplay is we choose that.
