I love to cook and have some good recipes that family and friends really enjoy. :0) The holidays find me cooking and baking away to share with family, neighbors, clients, business associates and co-workers. I like to send home made pound cake and home grown pecans, baked cookies, etc.. :o)

Does anyone cook anymore?I admit..I seem to eat out more than staying at home cooking. Im tired after a long work day.But it doesnt seem any more expensive..Does any agree?

Yep...I cook almost everyday and yes, it's definitely cheaper and healthier.
I love cooking, but not the crap stuff that's already pre-made...bleh
I love cooking healthy homemade foods for myself and my family. We also have lots of fresh fruits and veggies...or as much as I can get them to eat.
It's something I prefer over greasy stuff from fast food restaurants.
Every so often our family enjoys eating out at a nice restaurant, but I really prefer to eat at home - even after a long day.
Plus, I KNOW how it was prepared, and what ingredients were used in it. bouquet

I like to cook also. To me food seemto taste better when its done "your" way. I also like to grill and smoke hams and turkeys when I had a smoker. Ooh all of this talk is making my mouth water- - -down home fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn-on-the-cob, and biscuits with a tall glass of sweet tea sure sounds good now-YUM!

For people who work all day it is hard coming home to cook and easy to pick at food whilst making a meal, thus spoiling the appetite or adding calories if watching weight. The best thing is forward planning by using a slow cooker, or bulk cooking and freezing at the weekends. When I was working I used to get home shattered after a crowded subway journey so I had to rethink my cooking and eating methods. I used to come home and heat up a portion of soup, whilst making something quick.

Okay, here in the UK it can be expensive, but that purely depends on where you go and the quality of food you are looking for.

If you decide to eat out of a greasy fast food joint then yes, it can be very cheap but at what cost to your health in the short/long term.

Plus, you do not know what they are putting in their dishes in some restaurants.

Or even if you buy ready meals from a supermarket. Generally they are full of all kinds of everything.

I cook about twice a week (real cooking, not heat and eat), but usually make enough to have leftovers for an extra night or two so I don't have to cook all the time thumbs up

I like to cook at home and eat at other peoples homes too......it's nice to go out from time to time for a change but the novelty can go off of that as well...it's nice to be around the table with people you know, love and care for in real life....conversing
