Hmmmm. Looks pretty tied up between Understanding, Stupid, Submissive and Humble. Don't know that I'd think someone was stupid or gullible just cuz they said they were down to earth. I think of down to earth as "not high maintenance", and I think of myself as down to earth because I don't have my head in the clouds.

some turms seem to mean different things depending on where you are and the culture you are raised in. I take down to earth meaning not all dressed up or superficial, likes to be in the woods or garden, just straight forward and real.
