LucieLynn: I am like President Bush in the fact that I don't believe in a one world approach.
It's never worked in the past and it will never work in the future.
Fact: People fight. It's what they do. People cannot get along to save their souls. Humans are competetive by nature. Don't live in LaLa Land. You want a one world mentality then by all means concede to Sharia Law.
I believe in Freedom. I don't need a world community. I need to be free.
If people always do what they always did then they will always get what they always got - and America always seems to sell out to the highest bidders (not the people, the politicos) and the highest bidders seem to have the biggest propensity to backtrack when they see a better deal - this is why the whole thing gets so confusing - theres no honesty amongst such world class thieves........... its a game, they get back on the roundabouts what they lose on the swings and human lives matter even less to them - you have so much to learn grasshopper - it may tak another lifetime or two - all the best all the same...........
paws4: Ignorance is bliss. Do you even know where the 9/11 terrorists were from ?
Fifteen of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, two from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt (Atta), and one from Lebanon.
Yet Bush decided to attack 2 countries for the wrong reasons.
I know for a fact that there are terrorist cells in Canada. Is is okay if they blow up your town? Or would you rather we waterboard them for you here in the United States and stop it from happen...?
That's what I thought - your welcome, we will get to the waterboarding now.

Americans and Europeans are so completely different. I believe in freedom and the Europeans, appearantly, have caved in to Sharia Law.
I sigh..... Does the United States really have to come and save you guys again just like we did back in WW1 and WW2?
We are getting tired of having to rescue you people. Waterboarding is being used to save lives. Face the fact.
JSuburbia: I personally am against the waterboarding for one reason...We are a country that preaches that torture is wrong but yet say it's ok when american lives are at stake............
I was in the Marines and won't preach that it's wrong.....because winning is what matters....the methods don't. I'm not talking about bombing schools and such, but treatment of the enemy combatant means nothing to me.....b/c they would do it to us - so better them than us.
Most people sit on the sidelines and talk a good talk, but rely on us to keep them safe and free - and we should do what it takes. Civility is is worthless if you are defeated.
invinciblemuse: Daniel Pearl's abduction had nothing to do with extracting information from him.
He was a very intelligent man with an open mind towards all people, cultures, societies and religions; and I have the feeling he would cringe at some of the remarks made here.
Hindsight is 20/20. I have a feeling he would not. In fact, I think he'd jump on the waterboarding bandwagon if he wasn't so brutally tortured and killed by the terrorist first.

If those insurgents would have waterboarded American soldiers, we would have cried about it. Yes, they execute those they capture, but we should always take the moral high ground and not resort to the tactics of which we condemn. We hung people after WWII for tactics we are using today.
It's always that "but"...that drives me up the wall.
Like it's okay they kill our people, butttttttt...we should play nice. Not sure I subscribe to that...but to each his own.
LucieLynn: I love George Bush's sense of humor. Hilarious. That guy has the best personality. I loved it when he dodged those fyling shoes. Great stuff. Throwing a shoe at someone and thinking it is insulting. How childish and silly of the man who threw it. Hilarious.
He was just being sarcastic if he said that.
yes, I think he was hilarious, too. And so did all the cartoonists, and late night show hosts.
I think every country should have a comedian as their Presient/Prime Minister, at least once in their history. After all, laughter is the best medicine.
Pity he didn't simply laugh off the weapons of mass distruction that were never found, as a big joke right from the start. But then, he did have to finish off what his daddy started, didn't he?

Am I right to assume that - by avoiding my question about the proof for your claim, Muhammad is the most common baby name in the UK - you can't provide any evidence either??
Okay, let's assume that was you claim is true for a moment - how does that prove that "the Europeans, appearantly, have caved in to Sharia Law"??

Well, we are not laughing now that Iran has the bomb. It won't be long before this current President has to be serious and take out Iran's capabilities.
