solitare: Excellent retort!! Aggressive/ assertive are loaded terms without any parameters being defined. From my perspective, both by experience and observation many women simply can't understand the differences between aggressive/assertive and most of all, the unflattering trait of arrogance which usually causes them to lose a multitude of potential relationships. Some never seem able to learn the subtle differences let alone the timing. The last thing any relationship needs is a contest of egos and/or domination of one to the other; it kills genuine respect for both...imo

so do agree with "good relationship" has something to do with give and take, good communication skills, and no ego boasting..

yes Pandora, i know what you mean.I've been with the geisha type and did like much.And I've been with the arrogant type and did not work out for long.As always a well balanced person,strong but with common sense,intelligent enough not to be arrogant or a doormat is what a call a good partner...at least potentially
