IMO spiritual people are often guided in behaviour and thought by the maxim that their life and their actions matter and have a higher purpose.
I think the subtle difference between religious and spiritual people is that the motivator for their behaviour in life is not specifically to get to Heaven, or avoid Hell.
Nonetheless, most spirital people I know are very good people and from my perspective, that's really all God/Jesus expects from any of us.

Spirituality has nothing to do with religion . In fact the religious thoughts hinder spirituality . Spirituality is all about striking a balance in life . understanding the transient nature of the life and accepting the sorrows and joys with the same spirit. Spirituality makes you to listen to your inner voice and help find freedom and happiness within. Its not bothered about hell and heaven mentioned in so called holy books

She did not answer my question i will express it. Spiritual person, usually, believe in essence(energy, conscious etc) and substance, Jesus was symbol of the christ(before Jesus had Christ insight each one)and who believe in it can get or not a consciousness or high intelligentsia, they usually know, they are not able to judge anybory, but only themselves. In others words, they know there is nothing, but that nothing is everything.
