My last BF kept dropping the L word It was awkward I dont wanna say it untill i mean it ! He would say i love you then this silence would decend ..... Ide say something like , awww thanks baby however he got pissed after a while that i didnt reply , I ended up just saying while I really like you Im just not in love with you thats not to say I wont fall in love I may...things went down hill from there ....

hi serene 56,well we are now only best friends and housemates lol,we did go togeather for almost 12 months but she wanted to be in love so ive stood back as i want her to be happy,we tell each other everything and i mean everything,i would die for this women,but not sure what else i can do,she knows i still love her::confused:

Yep I had that for four months, she kept saying I love you, but then one night she called and said she could not love me unless I gave up smoking?
She was a lovely woman and I do miss her but!
If any delusional woman ever thinks she can change me she will be disappointed !
There are drug addicts out there that have girlfriends? There are alcoholics out there that have girlfriends, there are guys that hit women out there that have girlfriends?
But a guy that likes a cigarette and a beer is tabo? I think I will just keep living my life until I find someone that loves me for who I am and not what they want me to be!
I live a quiet life of peace and harmony now, why would I change that? For someone nagging me! To change! FFS who would in there right mind give away harmony for stress?

Most of us have probably been there, wanting someone who just doesn't feel the same way about us
You're gonna have to be strong, it'll be really hard for you for you to watch her go off and see other men and in the end, it's up to you whether you still want to be friends/housemates.
Sometimes we wait around in the hope that they will change their mind, but it seems that only happens in the movies ..
Maybe tuck your heart away for now, and save it for someone who will love you back, just the way you love them

nope - gross habit - gave it up over 20 years ago - stinky stuff and make your clothes, hair and breath smell horrible - and I know I am going to die one day but I don't want to encourage the grim reaper to my door sooner than necessary - but I do have friends that are smokers and they are considerate thankfully and go outside for their fix. If i have to die young then let it be death by chocolate
