I spent sometime eigth years ago in Alice Springs and other areas in the desert there, talked to aboriginal people a lot and learned a few tings, so I do not think 8 years are a long time for something to become an anachronism.
From another perspective, I belong to a nation with problems similar to those related to aboriginal people there, so for us this is not anachronism at all. It is absolutely valid for the debate against the repetitious attitude of the West certainly reproduced by people like you.
