In the city of Chicago, most gas prices are around $4.40. One station in the state of California (probably Los Angeles because of the high cost of things) is selling gas at $5.05 per gallon already. So, I would like to know (from my own curiosity) if gasoline is more expensive in Australia. One internet link said that you all pay more than ($7 perhaps?). Also, what do you think the cause is for high gas prices. Many people in America are blaming president Barack Obama and his administration, but I think the Middle East fighting and the Libya conflicts are the real reasons. I really don't know.

I paid $162.9 litre for diesel today
l paid $1.49 for unleaded fuel today.

I paid a $1.34 today less my 4 cent per litre shopper docket from Coles!
The real reason for high fuel prices? The stock market! And greed!
Am I the only one that noticed that during the global financial crises oil prices halved! And Why! Because those greedy money takers had no money in an unstable market, but now they can go back to buying the oil and sitting on it to increase the cost off oil to us all!
The world oil price is a lie! Basically in an environment like ours on earth, oil can never run out! We can grow Bio fuels and replacement fuels such as solar and hydrogen now,
Oh and its $106 for an Australian $ for $100 America now! Unless your congress cancels the federal reserve bank your country will be sold too china in the next decade!
We do of course have huge taxes on our petrol too, both National and state taxes (except QLD?) which puts the price up and our own Govt tries to align our prices with overseas even though we produce a lot of our own and could sell it more cheaply. 
PS. Thanks Shell for the conversion - we seem somewhat aligned with our prices in that case. But it is still ouch all round!

Well we don't have to worry about petrol prices at the moment.
Just got another Car! a 3yo Ford Station Wagon dedicated gas.
Plenty of room for the dogs to stretch out and it only cost $51 to travel 650 km to Callala Beach.
This is one of the few cars out there that is on gas only....why I have no idea!it travels just as well as if it is on petrol and a good size wagon as well.
You would think that all new cars would be changing to gas! but they are not even making anymore Ford Station Wagons.

Keep an eye on your min Horses teeth as they can have problems because of the inbreeding to get the size.
The min Ponies are a much tougher breed.
If we had ever got one I think we would have house trained it and had it indoors.
It was hard enough trying to keep our cheeky Shetland Robbie outside.But it was his job to calm down our two yr olds on Raceday.

a US gallon is not the same
the reason is tight supply of crude oil, increasing demand and peak oil...and no one is bulding oil refineries chuck in a carbon tax and you're toast
