It can work. Alot depends on your own mindset, and not the site. A free site like this can work just as well as one you pay a large yearly membership fee to be a member of.

If your mind is not ready to be open, it doesnt matter how you do it.

It worked for me, and I bless each day because of it.

anonymous1: It may be possible to find love online...

It's more likely that you won't.

There's a ton of scammers, men pretending to be women, and even robots that are programmed to fool you out of your money, by playing with your heart.

I spent about a year in a committed long distance relationship, where we only spent about a month together.

In real life, it doesn't take a year, and a couple thousand dollars in travel, and phone bills... to spend 1 month with somebody, only to find out you're not compatible.

It's not uncommon for people to think they've found love online, and meet after saving for a long time, and travelling far, only to find out they don't have enough chemistry to kiss each other.

Dating sites are good for getting laid, and dating married people; you can pretty much count on those things if that's what you want.
Personally, I'm not looking to get laid, or date a married woman.

I took down my pictures, and made my profile sound so bad no woman has tried to meet me since... because, two times I got emotionally involved with married women online; one said, she was a widow, one said, she was divorced.

The forums are good places to talk to nice people from different countries, you can discuss just about anything you want 24/7; but, if you're looking for true love... go out into your community, and look for a woman who shares chemistry with you.

It's hard enough to find true love, adding the stress, and drama that goes with computer dating isn't worth it to me.
If you're looking for love online, plan on having experiences like the ones I mentioned before you find it; and, don't plan on finding it.

RLMFAO!!!

My profile says, I'm 127, 3 feet tall, big and beautiful, bald, and don't have a job.

2 hours after I wrote the post above..
I got this message. lol

What do you want to bet, it's not a love connection. lol

Do you think she wants me for my looks? my money? or, because she likes the things I write?

What do you want to bet, the person/robot who sent it never read my profile? or my posts?

Scubadiva: For what it's worth, I heard on TV just the other day that (at least in Germany), online dating comes in at number 3 as the preferred method to meet someone for a serious relationship.

Number 1 is still the chance meet at the club.
Number 2 are introductions by friends and family.

How true this is, I don't know, but I find it easier to meet people face to face. That way I can gauge very quickly whether I like the person or not, rather than waste time typing for weeks. Besides, these sites have become flooded with scammers (I've had 8 "widowers" (scams) contact me just yesterday). So while online dating might have had good potential, it is now a minefield and more tedious than ever to sift through the cow dung.

To be honest with youprofessor This site is great for the entertainment factorthumbs up but when it comes to serious datingdunno I am on other dating sites toothumbs up as the saying goesprofessor it does not pay to put all your eggs in one basketlaugh thumbs up

I had a relationship with someone online who lived in my area. It lasted a few months and then she moved away to help her mother. Can't say it was real love because I felt I needed time to adapt to her way of doing things.

When I got my first computer, I thought dating sites were a place where everybody would be honest about who they were, so they could have a better chance of finding their "soul mate." lol

Agree. I look at this site as a place to meet and type virtually; all is strictly for entertainment.

I also think it's a good idea to spread yourself around some dating sites, but don't get sucked into the virtual world so much so that you forget asking women out in your neighborhood, you know.

Well for me personally i have met ALL kinds, some good, some bad, and some downright cheeky. I dont know if Internet dating is the way forward but would say be careful, cause one can be anything on here and if one is just out for an ego boost ..............then Forget it. I would seriously say trust your gut with folk on here, some are genuine, some are not, after all i am the "Queen of Sheba". Good luck folks and keep your witts about you...
