cashy85: is it a waste of money seen the people of ireland find it hard to get work. would it not be better to put 25 million into making jobs

So who is getting this $25 million? What are they doing with it?

Just what are the plans?

If this money is going to the businesses there for their services, then they will have money to hire more employees... dunno

patmac: The tourist trade and all the rest will benefit from the influx of folk who will follow much the same as happened when Kennedy visited back in the 60's.

Prior to all the sad troubles in the 70's Ireland had many tourists from England,Scotland and Wales but this stopped.

Now it would greatly benefit Ireland to get it back.

This is one way.....

Exactly, but some just dont see it that way, pride can often be a killer.thumbs up

How many Irish people (living in Ireland)watched the Royal wedding?

I watched bits and pieces of it but not the whole thing.

Canada spent over $1.1 billion on the g7 and g20 summits in 2010, $25 million is not that much to spend considering.
