Ask yourself what you would do if today was your last day to live.
Then ask yourself how you can be sure it isn't.
Today your days on this planet number one less than they did yesterday. And tomorrow, should you still be here, another day will be stricken from your total. That's not a bad thing. All living things are designed to expire. It's nature's law that promotes genetic diversity and survival of the species.
Rather than dwell on it as a negative, which it really isn't, just remember that today is important and your experiences are valuable and if you wanted to do something.... maybe today's the day to do it, start it or finish it.
Just live each day as its your last as oneday it will be, that way you can make the most of your life instead of wasting it on things that are not important.
I would enjoy it to the maximum... and finish it by having dinner with my friends and loved ones by the sea... so they can send me to my viking burial early...

Good luck with that. I have a hunch you'll need more than a day, though. As Churchill said, "Eventually in life, people stumble across the truth and most are able to get back up, dust themselves off and continue on like nothing happened".
drbombay: Well I must have some kind of cat in me for I have survived a few encounters and there have been some scary moments but none like marriage...
I would do as I always do. Coffee on at 7 am, drink and get ready for work. If it was one of my three days off, I would be cleaning house, drinking wine and be at peace with the world. A simple and humble life is a good life. JMHO.

Live is for the living. It's for you. Enjoy.
