jac379: Some English slang for you, Bobbo...A strikebreaker is known as a scab. Its an easier word to hurl as an angry insult without your teeth falling out.
jac379: Its a small change in life to be getting your knickers in a twist about.
You'll get used to it and it will feel like home again in no time.
Yes, you're right This is the "site suggestions & feedback" category, though, and I wondered if anyone else had similar feedback- perhaps the lovely folks who make CS happen might even do some more tweaking if the new design isn't much liked. Isn't that what feedback is for?
Ireadalot: Anyone else hate the new mailbox design? I think it's hard to read, annoyingly set out and the new colours are awful. Also, the "you have mail" red square is staying highlighted even when all mail opened. to the new design! Please bring back the old one!
Design just before this one was a Lot better! Besides, now I have to sign out for the Red Tab to change to normal!

Fair enough about the feedback, but I think a lot of this is about folk not liking change and it will all become familiar again in no time.
A lot of effort has gone into the changes, that's plain to see.
It can't be nice listening to a load of people whinging about your hard work, eh?
Maybe the wording of the feedback could be a little more respectful from the contributors?

Yes, I apologise for the wording. That was harsh, I do respect the work they put in, and could have worded the statement more politely. CS folks, I'm sorry
I do stand by the content however. To me, the mailbox is more difficult to read, the colours are less easy on the eyes, and the layout feels awkward.

I agree, I'm struggling a little with the glitches and some of the colours play havoc with my particular form of dyslexia, but for someone else it might be better and the designers can't accomodate everyone's individual visual needs.
It takes a certain amount of accomodation on our part, now all the work has been done.
What changes are realistic to expect? I'm a techotwit, but I imagine its just the mailbox/flowerbox staying red that is the only appropriate feedback.

The dark background/light characters colour template is known to be harder for most people to read, you're not alone there.
Colour are *generally* easy to change with most site design. I could happily accomodate the layout changes, but would love to see the light background/ dark characters return
