Yes!!! Swissblueeyes is right on!

E.Coli Danger In Your Salad

The swine flu virus started on a small Pig farm in Mexico. The Virus was spread to the US by people traveling, mostly Texas in the Summer and Fall.

When the Earth tilted for spring and summer in the southern hemisphere, the virus moved along with it when people traveled south for more pleasant climate conditions.

The Virus mutated and did not have a large impact on our world.

Swine flu is a man made virus ?

thumbs up Allegria46

More women fell ill because they eat healthier than men. Women tend to eat more fruits and vegetables, the leading source of e-coli.

Its not the fruit and vegetables that make people sick, its the cow manure they use that is infected with ecoli that gets people sick..I dont use fertilizer when I plant vegetables. I used to have a garden the whole time I was married and we "never" got ecoli..My grandmother used leaf composts in the fall on her garden for fertilizer..In the 50 years she planted gardens, no one ever got sick.

There are nots of nasty bugs over the last few decades one thinks of SARS, Swine Flue and now this new EColi outbreak are they related. Maybe. Maybe we have thrown so many chemicals into the world that she is no longer able to cope and break down the bacteria that is harmful to the human poulation .

p.s.. look it up on wilkipedia how humans get ecoli..it is from infected animals who pooped on the vegetable or the farmer uses animal manure to fertilize it and the animals were infected with ecoli.. Like I said, it is not the vegetable that gets people sick..I think no one should use animal manure to fertilize..Then they dont have to worry about eating a vegetable..

I've grown organic gardens also, and I've never had a problem either. I had many rabbits back then...so I collected their droppings and plowed and seeded the vegetable plants into the soil.

On the one (Inspectors) video that I sent, it shows clearly that a cow farm was just uphill from the spinach. Rain water washed the raw cow manure into the spinach soil.

One conclusion of the investigative report of the spinach field in California claimed that migrant workers from Mexico were not provided with proper bathroom facilities and used the spinach field instead when they had to go...

We may have missed looking at a human factor in Germany as a source of the e-coli outbreak. Human waste is full of e-coli bacteria. We may be looking at an accident rather than a terrorist attack.

Those who believe it's safer to be vegetarian, or safest if organic, may be deluding themselves. Organic growers are generally good sorts, but they do tend to be arrogant: and their philosophy can go something like this:-
`What's wrong with a little dirt?´ It's perfectly natural, and never harmed nobody. Now what we do here is to stew mounds of human poo in a special tank. It looks disgusting – but do you know, after precicely forty-three and a half days, it loses its stink; and is ready to be sprayed straight onto our strawberries´. Yuk

wave Hi John..Thank you for the info.. Ya I grow organic too but I dont use manure.
My grandmother used to use the leaves from the trees in the fall to decompose over the garden during the late fall, winter and early spring to give the soil more nutrition for her vegetable plants..She grew a vegetable garden for about 45 years and never once got ecoli..

Great that you mentioned tree leaves as fertilizer.

I lived in a wooded area in 1995, and I had my picture and organic garden published on the cover of a major Horticultural Magazine in 1999. I would gather as many leaves as I could and till them into the soil in the fall.

It took me almost 5 years to accomplish the hard work and it paid off.

In my opinion, the Miracle Grow products are the safest to use for plants, animals and humans. I watered and sprayed the product on my plants 3 times a week.

Result:

I had corn over 13 feet tall, broccoli plants up to my chest, prize winning squash and tomatoes.

Corn is interesting to grow. Each corn silk on top is attached individually to each kernel of corn. If a silk is damaged, the kernel doesn’t grow on the cob.

John, I'm curious to know is miracle grow a natural product? Yes there is nothing better than home grown veggies, plus safer to consume and full of more vitamins right off the vine. Thats cool you got your picture and garden published on a magazine..Do you still plant a garden every year?

Is it possible that the experts know, and have known all along, where the source originated, but have chosen not to divulge same to us mortals, to protect an individual, individuals, or an organisation?

Tombody: As far as the experts know, the e-coli outbreak, which has killed about twenty people, was't caused by infected cucumber or beansprouts, or whatever else has come to mind. But how much do they know? They haven't told us whether germs can live within the skin of fruit and vegetables. And that's probably because they don't know. Will the cause of it ever be discovered? We can only speculate. And the notion that this virulent, antibiotic-resistant, and poison-producing bacterium, may have been planted deliberately, by terrorists or whoever, is gaining strength

I have used Miracle Grow for many years, and I've never had a problem. To play Devil's Advocate, I found this article.

I don't believe this to be true because my experiences are different. It's a synthetic product.

I can't garden anymore outside because of knee and foot surgery, so I garden inside my homes. I have a great Cacti collection now.
