As far as the experts know, the e-coli outbreak, which has killed about twenty people, was't caused by infected cucumber or beansprouts, or whatever else has come to mind. But how much do they know? They haven't told us whether germs can live within the skin of fruit and vegetables. And that's probably because they don't know. Will the cause of it ever be discovered? We can only speculate. And the notion that this virulent, antibiotic-resistant, and poison-producing bacterium, may have been planted deliberately, by terrorists or whoever, is gaining strength

blame it on terrorist or govt.we caught em dumpin chems in water/lakes etc.govt.wanted it low key.
WHO'D GO BANANAS FOR SALADS? As a resident in Germany, it seems to me that its people, though adept at sweeping, dusting, and cleaning-up, may not be as efficient or hygienic as held to be. For instance, I see house-flies on food that's ready to be eaten, more often than I would in England; and I notice that those who use a public lavatory, exit so quickly that it would be hard to maintain personal hygiene in the process. Some are keener to emerge from a closed stall than to wash hands – as though to avoid any embarrassment. Verona Feldbusches acclaimed `Peep!´ show, even did a feature on it. Their unjustified reputation may be breeding complacency, and some pathogenic germs to boot. It's almost as though they fancy themselves as being so special that germs can't touch them
This is good material for George Noory & Co And unless a cause can be properly identified, we'll hear much more about it on Coast to Coast AM, and any other channel that comes to take it up blame it on terrorist or govt.we caught em dumpin chems in water/lakes etc.govt.wanted it low key.

if you go south, you will see even more flies.. lets not start comparing hygiene in different nations,no win situation..

But I'm considering all the flies that can be seen where we wouldn't expect them to be. And let's not criticise the people of southern Europe without good reason. On a good day you'll find surprisingly high standards of hygiene and medicine in Greece, Italy, and Serbia

i bit ironic, when you tell me not to criticise.. considering i was the first to suggest it...i do know Europe well too, sweeping generalisations about Germans are only that-your sweeping generalisations. are you an infection control expert?
We’ve had more than one E-Coli outbreak in Canada. It's nothing to brag about but it's the truth. In one case the source was related to a Canadian meat processing Plant though we have strict hygiene laws. That doesn’t mean Canadians are not hygienic. It means such outbreaks can occur anywhere and this even in developed countries. The difference may be that in developed countries we hear about it internationally while in developing or undeveloped countries it might not be publicised as much. In developed countries they have the money and means to investigate and find the causes, sources and culprits if any.
As for the case in Germany I’m sure they’ll find its rightful source.

You're right, these things occur from time to time. Only this time it's an especially deadly form of E coli, I believe they said it's a combination of two strains, which doesn't respond to antibiotica. The way food is processed in big factories might play a role in it, also that food gets shipped over long distances across a country or even a continent before it reaches the consumer. I guess all we can do is wait for the experts to figure out its source as soon as possible and hope for the best in the meantime.
Tombody: Oh, Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart, and I like its music too (when it's not being Austrian, Danish, etc) But is it not arrogant to arrogate to me views I do not and wouldn't hold? And does it take us any closer to discovering the cause of this outbreak?
How would discussing things on a thread on a dating website aid the discovery of the source of the outbreak in any way?? And lighten up, not all Germans are dead serious about everything.

Perhaps, by pointing your hidebound and singularly-unsuccessful experts in a better direction – that's how this , and similar discussions, may help. And as things stand, they need as much help as they can get

Because when at a total loss, disease experts tend to read forums on dating sites to get some fresh ideas?? Yeah, alright then, what's your theory?? I'm curious now! After all, you did mention terrorists or whoever. So please, enlighten and entertain us!

Since it is a new Strain,it could have come from virtually anywhere!
