In the old testament it was a sin to eat pork..in the new testament it said jesus death gave us more freedom from some of the old testament laws.
I will admit I like bar b q ribs and backon..
My sister told me the reason pork was a sin is because if it isnt treated can make you sick.. I think tricanosis was a pork related disease that if you didnt cook the meat well enough could kill you.
with modern technology in raising farm animals, not only is meat inspected but pork is also smoked and treated in many cases and is safe to eat now.

here in the caribbean pork is consider a delicacy, it is use in many dishes an soups, if you all never tasted a good old fashion pigtail soup, well half your life gone,
