But it's real meaning is:

Alternative spelling of spondulics.
Usage notes
Only used to indicate large quantities of money.
Descriptive variant and noun (slang): The slang name used for any hard liquor that is to be added to a hot or cold non-alcoholic beverage/mixed drink/cocktail. In effect; "to make a drink be worth some money".
ex. Adding Irish Whiskey to hot Coffee is to "Hit it with a little spondulick". Or in more general terms "to enjoy some spondulicks at the party..." would be to anticipate the consumption of alcoholic mixed beverages of various recipe.
