You meet that perfect person. You fall in love with them. They're a bit stand-offish, and you find out the reason- they're dying.

The question is, do you pursue the relationship or not?

I kinda got a bit emotionally involved with someone who had leukemia, but he was in a lot more of a hurry to take things further (understandably) than I was, so it didn't work out.

If we had been more compatible, (although getting involved and falling in love with someone who, the chances are, you're going to lose is a big thing to take on board), I think I would have.

There are no guarantees in life. He may have had another 10 years, or more ahead of him, I could have less.

Yes, it is an honor to be with someone who makes peace in life
and go without remorse.
If you have tolerance for suffering you will embrace this part of life.

I think it would depend on the type and strength of the connection. If I loved him, yes

I'd have no problem being friends with them, but I'm not looking for temporary dates. I'm looking for a forever, where I can get married, have kids, and live happily insane. Though it seems the smart guys, don't like me.

I would...we are not guaranteed a day. This person just knows when it will happen.

I, myself, would like to make his last days (no matter how many there are) as comfortable and happy as possible. This, is unconditional love.

And I also believe in miracles. teddybear

The reality is that we are all dying - some of us just have a best before expire date that is readable.

If I met him and I fall in love and after that it happens that he is going to die then I would stay with him to the last moment.

Oh boy. That's a tough one. I think if I've already fallen in love with them then yes I would see it through till the end. Better to have loved someone for a short time then not at all. If on the other hand, I met someone who I was only mildly interested in and found out they were dying, I think I would only continue a friendship with them. dunno
