No, I knew you b4 normal disappeared

I thought normal was around when the doona happened

Unusual pet with unusual habits.

To both bits, my daughter had a snake which for some reason only bit women

Had a sheep which was staked out down the back. It would managed to get the stake out just before 6pm and race up to eat the plants in the garden just as my father would pull into the driveway. He always blamed us for not putting the stake in but it was usually him who moved the sheep around each morning.

Or maybe the goose we found wandering around the streets one day. Quickly into the car and back home with it. It wanted to round up the chooks all the time and lord it over them, probably because it had bigger eggs.

The dog who sired 3/4 of the dogs in a 5 mile radius - there were so many ginger long haired dogs in those days. He used to walk us the 1/2 mile to school and meet us after school every day. He regularly went over the road and killed Mr Perry's chooks but would never touch ours. He also managed to break into Mr Perry's pigeon coop and killed 24 racing pidgeons in one go.

The dachshund who mothered a kangaroo, which spent most of its time in the house.

A pair of goats, one of which regularly jumped 6 foot fences to get to the neighbours gardens. Had to stake that one down.

All this in Sydney's Sutherland Shire.

Married with kids, we only had the usual pets, dogs, cats, a rabbit who used to attack the dogs and cats when they went near any food, even people if they walked too close to her food, King Parrots, Eastern Rosellas, Grass Parrots, frogs and snakes. Would not let my daughter get a rat, though.

Back when I was a kid here's the pic of Monty and Bimbo pic taken in 1966 pet dingo's we had in the bush they use to follow me up the road to the butchers every other day to get their bones great dogs. Had another little black dog name Carla she was put in a pram and pushed up to the butchers with the other two dogs in tow. gave the towns folk something to laugh about. Those were the days.
