wash2u: Unusual pet with unusual habits.
To both bits, my daughter had a snake which for some reason only bit women
Had a sheep which was staked out down the back. It would managed to get the stake out just before 6pm and race up to eat the plants in the garden just as my father would pull into the driveway. He always blamed us for not putting the stake in but it was usually him who moved the sheep around each morning.
and I bet you were thinking... snot fair... lol
Or maybe the goose we found wandering around the streets one day. Quickly into the car and back home with it. It wanted to round up the chooks all the time and lord it over them, probably because it had bigger eggs.
Was the goose bigger than the chooks... lol
The dog who sired 3/4 of the dogs in a 5 mile radius - there were so many ginger long haired dogs in those days. He used to walk us the 1/2 mile to school and meet us after school every day. He regularly went over the road and killed Mr Perry's chooks but would never touch ours. He also managed to break into Mr Perry's pigeon coop and killed 24 racing pidgeons in one go.
Ouch... that is one keen smart doggie.
The dachshund who mothered a kangaroo, which spent most of its time in the house. Awwwwh.... how lovely is that...
A pair of goats, one of which regularly jumped 6 foot fences to get to the neighbours gardens. Had to stake that one down.
All this in Sydney's Sutherland Shire.
Married with kids, we only had the usual pets, dogs, cats, a rabbit who used to attack the dogs and cats when they went near any food, even people if they walked too close to her food, Possesive huh? King Parrots, Eastern Rosellas, Grass Parrots, frogs and snakes. Would not let my daughter get a rat, though.

Easy to see you love animals.....I used to have pet Rats they are nothing like the wild ones. My fav was called Jenny pale cream with big black eyes I used to take her evey where with me and she was so clean, never smelt like those pet mice do.She was a wonderful pet,the only thing Rat about her was her name, even now I remember her putting her little face up for a kiss goodnight. I used to also have a big New Zealand White buck Rabbit he used to corner our Cocker Spaniel and try and kick the hell out of him... gosh he was a bully.

I used to have an albino rabbit, my brothers couldnt go near him he would attack them every time. One day my brothers cat got in the rabbit hutch and tried to attack him the black and white fur of the cat flew everywhere and the cat ran out of the hutch fair screaming. Bugs was one tough bunny.
Martia: Gosh yes remember them' we had a couple of hens but they were quite wild compared to our other chooks. Ya gotta feel sorry for your mother pigeon.
When l was a teenager mum got me 12 incubated chickens, they grew up to be extrememly quiet and then l got some ducks. Every night around 3.30 all the chooks and ducks would gather around the house gate and the cat would be sitting on the gate post. They were all waiting for me to get home from school. It was such a laugh and so cute. The Rooster whom l called Henry was so quiet that as l would try and walk down to the chook pen to feed them he would be walking inbetween my feet and l would trip over him so l would pick him and carry him the the pen. One hen called Specky was so quiet that she used to sit on mums lap, one day she laid an egg thier

I had a crazy cat who had a stash of goodies under the lounge .. when I moved it I found disposable razors, pen lids, scraps of paper and anything else he could carry in his mouth and stash under there
