Bodeciea: Men are men the world over; as women are women. The country they live in does not change their inherent traits and/or characteristics.
And its their "inherent traits and/or characteristics" I would be more interested in, than their fashion sense.

Another one who wants to take tea and scones with me...

Scratch that, how about feta, Greek basil, an array of tomatoes, red wine and an evening gossiping and shrieking with laughter?

Bodeciea: Exactly.

In my experience of living in this country, people from different sides of the country can be as different as chalk and cheese, in may ways.

Impossible to bunch together.
That's true. I have been fortunate enough to have been to most of the states, including NY-NY near you. To my wonderment and surprise, I've seen the different cultures and ways of life that I found to be exciting. It was then that I started to appreciate the many diversities this country has to offer. The same goes for Canada as well; a beautiful country with different cultures.

It's good seeing you again. How's the married life treating you?

crazy4animals: Well, I wish it could be like in the movie but unfortunately it's NOT..........Believe me if you European woman who lived around man who pass you daily on the street just like I have described above, you will get lucky if you see one man a week like this in America. But when you see him you barely have any chance because there 100ds of woman hitting on him. Man here do not wear clothes which is nice or style, they wear what is comfortable and easy. Many man here don't even have a suit in their closet or tie, or dress pants they even hate to wear dress shirt with color because they complain it's uncomfortable for their neck unless they have a job which required. Basically, the average American man look like Teddy Bear, with the baggy shorts, T-shirt on a top, sneakers, baseball hat and beard. And they use this style for any event, work, movie, restaurant, shopping and even Sunday church service. But for sure they love and even expect woman look and dress nice.
clothes dont make a man. its the person thats wearing them thats important.

Where did you see a guy dressed like that? It's just what I'm looking for. I've dealt with men in suits all my life. I want to go fishing so I need a man that dresses for the smelly fish and salty water. I'll take a contractor any day, a street laborer, a garbage truck driver, anybody who doesn't sit behind a desk. And I hope he drives a crazy old pickup truck...cheering banana

I don't know where you are living in the US but not all American men wear baggy pants. Yes, there are cultural differences and you will find that no matter where you go. I am an American and I don't even have a skirt or a dress. Well, I did have some skirts but I'm not sure where they are at the moment. I have an idea of where they are but it's not important since I'd only wear a skirt or dress to church, funeral, or a wedding. And in that case, a nice pair of slacks or khaki's would be appropriate (unless I'm specifically told to wear a skirt or dress). God doesn't care what you wear to church. Going to church isn't about what you wear but about God. I do see what you are saying though. It is nice to see men in something other than jeans and a t-shirt. But there is nothing wrong with wearing clothes that fit. If they look good in what they wear, then let them wear it. Would a man in Europe wear a suit and tie to a rugby or soccer/football match? If they do, then how could they be comfortable? Think about the traditional attire for men and women in other parts of the world. It's different than what men and women wear in Europe or North America. I think, in the end, it's just a cultural thing.
