I agree...biologically and historically it is obvious that we are all in some way connected...complexion is just that complexion...I always like your posts..you are always on point
biologically speaking, it's more than just being connected. you will find more diversity genetically between two so-called 'whites' then you will a 'white' and a 'black'. we are all the same race...skin color is just like hair and eye color, it is just one more variation.
It shouldn't. But it does, not simply because of the different physical characteristics the races possess; it exists because some moron somewhere a long, long time ago decided that all other races were inferior to theirs. I've never been able to figure that one out...
I guess everyone is different and we make our own choices. As for me...I've dated all types of men, not just different colors. I've been more apt to date a man previously if he did have other color than being "white". I don't have much experience with "white" men. I'm learning though....I just love 'em all, regardless of skin color. It's what's inside that matters, and finding that is the key.

Sure, but have you ever wondered why we are attracted to who we are attracted to. What I mean is, I don't remember ever saying to myself "I will only be attracted to this kind of person" ... Where did the programming come from?
I have wondered the same thing. Race isn't an issue for me, but there are certain fearures I am not attracted to at all. No matter how hard I try, they are things I just can't overlook no matter how nice the person may be. I have always wondered if that makes me vain or human?!?!
it comes from our families.. some of us have family who dont care what color a person is .. others.. grew up being taught that dating outside your race... is wrong.. and not just race, but religion too..
they get it stuck in their head cause that is what their parents, and their parents before them and so on and so on , taught them
It's like I said; it's been handed down for centuries. If you grow up being taught to think a certain way, chances are good that's how you're going to continue to think.
Until I moved to Nashville, I'd never even heard the word "ni**ger." I soon found out, in the '70s, that that was a derogatory term for a Black person. I asked my friend, "Why did you call her a ni**ger?" And she looked at me with an utter look of surprise on her face and, said, "You know, I don't know. I just always have."

I don't think all of us have been programmed by family to dislike any particular race, if that is what you mean. As to anything else, I think it is all in the eye of the beholder. What one of us finds attractive another will not, is it programming or just chance. After all it would not do if we were all attracted to the same type of people.
there's all sorts of biological factors such as pheromones & transcription factors to why we're attracted to the folk we are. its part nurture, part nature. the usual equation.
The crazy thing is that we get racial propaganda all the time.. If you take some time and look at some "youth tv-series" How often do you see racial mixing in those? It's so stupid! It's almost like Hollywood are afraid of mixing colours in relationships!
We all carry the same blood on the inside!
Next week i'm getting some nice brown tan over my pale Swedish skin, It's going to be great!
the problem is, it's everywhere...recently...for the first time I saw a comercial where a black and a white girl were playing together, that's how deeply engrained in our culture it is. It kinda sucks.
But I have to agree, if the shoe fits, who cares about the color.
