I finally got some cosmetic surgery done (57)
HealthyLiving: In the way that I believe, God created our bodies. Our body is His.
I love Him and there is no way that I could slap Him in the face and tell him that he made a mistake in how He created me and that I was going to change it.
He renews my mind and I find my acceptance in HIM alone.
If this is how He chose to make me look, then so be it!
I do my best with what I have to do with.

Does he directly create us though? What about Siamese twins joined at the head or stomachs. Does he form them that way? I think not. It's an imperfect world and deformities happen. And yes, I am satisfied with the job God has done in creating me.

What you said pretty much reflects upon my last post. You have the knowledge to care for your body. You are the master of your body, no other person is...only you are. While I agree with a lot of what you said, I was directing my point of view to the fact that we all are individuals, the choices we make to or for our bodies are solely ours alone to make.my body has nothing to do with it.

Speaking for myself, I wouldn't have any cosmetic surgery done to my body UNLESS it was absolutely necessary due to health issues.

WoW, No pun intended but is this serious? will you be showing the before and after fotos? Have you healed up? From the little I know these procedures are quite expensive, so this must have been very important to you. I guess we will see if you decide to post a picture one day.

Beauty is only skin deep seems very apt in this case.
For one so young to allow her natural skin to be cut and refigured beggars belief. If it was because of disfigurement surely you would not have to pay. If for your own vanity I pray this drastic step does not come back and bite you once you start to age.

I don't quite agree with you. We are a product of our parents and their long line of genes. Not all are born equal and medication, cosmetic surgery are there to improve those who feel they need it and for those to whom it’s actually a necessity to live a normal life.
Here I'm not talking of vanity but people who need surgery to improve their self image and their lives.
What about those who dye their hair, is this how God had it planned for them?

fake teeth or fake breasts..they are real..for vanity as you say or to correct a deformity, really doesn't matter, we live in a world where there are choices like these, years ago a women wore a corset or even had a rib removed to get the shape they wanted..its personal choice..beauty is in many forms, from body piercings..to a state of art and mind...if trying on a new dress, a trip or surgery is going to boost your ego & give the confidence you need, more power to ya

Cosmetic surgery for vanity purposes, that's just misrepresentation of your genetic stock. I think all those who've had surgery should provide before and after photos or face prosecution under the trade descriptions act.

For one so young do you really feel the need to do this?. I am twice your age and would never consider mutilating my body in this way. Lines and wrinkles are part of a womans life story and since you havent fully experienced life yet... what gives?. Concentrate on your beauty from the inside, that way you will shine. JMO
