RE: Who should have been aborted?

The dinner party is just a close to home example of fanatical behaviour.

The difference in History for our respective genders is the result of our roles in society. When Women have had power they've shown the same qualities as Men. Elizabeth, Thatcher, Victoria, they happened and they prove just how capable Women are with power.

I thought you were big on equality anyway, Jac? Or does this interest in equality only extend so far as the interest in self-promotion? I mean, admitting equality to Man's weaknesses as well as his strengths would be fair, equal, right?

RE: Who should have been aborted?

Something flawed with that. The largest empire the World has ever seen was the British Empire of Queen Victoria.

Women are perfectly capable of dominating and subjugating all opposition, just in past times they've had less power to do so. If you've ever watched a Woman organise a Dinner party, then say it is they that are most naturally obsessed with controlling everything.

RE: Sweden Legalizes And Regulates Cannabis

Firstly, i'd just like to say that i'm glad to see that is a hoax, albeit a believable one, which is itself concerning.

I say what I say for two reasons. One is that drugs are very easy to get hold of, hard or soft, if you want them. Secondly, by legalising weed you make it uncool, seriously uncool, so which drug becomes the new cool? Which drug, if not weed, will be pushed upon young people by peer pressure? Which drug becomes first choice for anyone who wishes to rebel?

RE: Worlds most charitable countries!

I know the total amount of what we(the UK)give in foreign aid is second only to America. Which is a bit of a joke coming at the same time as we're indiscriminately hacking our public sector & welfare state to pieces.. and at the same time as having the worst youth unemployment since records began.

This puts me in mind of the Dicken's character Mrs Jellyby from the novel Bleak House; the bourgeois Lady so obsessed with her own self-image, and conforming to a Liberal agenda, that she busies herself raising funds for the African tribe of Borrioboola-Gha that she neglects her own children until they starve.

RE: Sweden Legalizes And Regulates Cannabis

A large part of the attraction for adoloscents smoking weed is that it's illegal and rebellious. I don't think legalisation of weed will quench the Teen's thirst for rebellion, only now they'll have to start someplace more extreme, perhaps with coke or meth.

RE: We're geeks and we don't care what others think!

It has to be First Contact or The Wrath of Khan. You almost, almost! Forget you're watching a star trek film. Where usually star trek is so bland and namby-pamby, representing a ridiculous fantasy of how Humanity will turn out with characters no one normal can believe in, these two films are actually quite good, more realistic even.. even when they are fighting the Borg.

RE: Glories of being a MAN

The Hunt for everything; Hot Wife, fast car, big house, lots of money, King of the neighbourhood and some beautiful Kids of my own - I don't expect very much from life, i'm quite a modest person you see.

RE: Belgium Gun & Grenade Attack..

I'd say the Syrian regime isn't unpopular with all Syrians and leave it at that, Ray.

There is a foreign influence upon the entire Arab spring, but it is a cultural influence - ours - so many Arabs, especially the young, do genuinely want to model their own nations upon Western nations. Not everything falls within some crude conspiracy.

RE: how do i keep her

If she's pulling away, wave bye bye, never pull back. The more you pull the more she'll pull away. Your nonchalance in such as situation is the only thing that could make her heart reconsider.

RE: USA is a "Battleground"

It's a bit complicated with the Irish. From an Irish perspective at the time the Fascists were arguably the lesser evil, if not definitely the lesser threat.

And in regard to British politics, it was Sir Oswald Mosley - who would later become the leader of the British Union of Fascists - who alone broke the scandal and opposed the British government over the "Black & Tans" - whom were British soldiers indiscriminately killing, pillaging and raping the Irish people in the 1920's.

RE: I finally got some cosmetic surgery done

Cosmetic surgery for vanity purposes, that's just misrepresentation of your genetic stock. I think all those who've had surgery should provide before and after photos or face prosecution under the trade descriptions act.

RE: Hope

Hope can be a good thing, hope can be anything between enthusiasm and cowardice. Hope is the will to carry on, just as hope can be the belief that twice two makes five.

RE: The worst president of the U.S. of the last decades is

Posterity, Conrad.

I don't care which flag he flew.

RE: The worst president of the U.S. of the last decades is

Reagan was the last president who could of prevented the situation you now find yourselves. Reagan was the one who oversaw the empowerment of the Chinese nation and the collapse of your manufacturing industry, Reagan Fathered the modern defecit and let the banks run amok.

Then there was his arming of the Taliban, his near silence over the AIDS/HIV epidemic and the millions of illegal immigrants he let loose into the community.

I believe Reagan to be the worst.

RE: Unattractive people.....

I don't know why this gets the red thumbs. You're on a dating site, you're here to find people you're attracted to, people who you're not attracted you're not interested in - what the hell's wrong with that?

RE: Congratulations Germany

Very, very little that's Western about London these days. Other than that, I couldn't agree with you more. cheers

RE: Congratulations Germany

I know, and ever since the fall of the Wall we've been rushing East to that former Soviet, Socialist paradise. You have to beat us off with a stick.

RE: Congratulations Germany

A collapsing German ideal is leading Europe into a Soviet Union. Yea, sounds familar.

RE: Shallow but true ( I have noticed about myself)

Oh that might be a little bit harsh don't you think?

I mean, if I got married tomorrow and then 10 years later she looks like a complete train wreck, then it probably would finish it and not just because of her looks but also because of the reason why her looks went so far south - fatness = inactivity = laziness, for instance, and it's the laziness that I'd dislike the most.

I would say that looks would have to fade a long way before it would finish things, and forgetting about looks losing some people in your life can be like losing a limb.

RE: Shallow but true ( I have noticed about myself)

Looks attract, personality keeps.

RE: Does America need a 3rd political party for average american INSTEAD of corporate america

You need two parties that compliment one another in the interests of the country. You need the elite that controls both parties to have some interest in benefiting America. You need an elite that leads instead of devours, a creative and worthy elite instead of a mere dominant and parasitic elite.

Or you can go for power to the people and the rule of the mob, and see where that gets you.

RE: Wal-Mart and China.

Oh yes, you're quite right. The indigenous red squirrel is much like the indigenous people, somewhat extinct in the UK, hence the name. :)

RE: Wal-Mart and China.

thumbs up

RE: Men ,,don't worry,,they are all alike

Oh no, you still know she's a munter no matter how dark the room is or how drunk you are, and when you've finished that sense of shame still kicks in - I like to call it "cummin to my senses".

RE: Blagojevich gets 14 years for Corruption

The clues in the name, they're all the same.

RE: What is your favourite fruit?

He's only the biggest fruit in showbiz!!

RE: What is your favourite fruit?

Elton John

RE: Who should bail-out Europe?

I mean real nations, Gal, not a fight between the World's leader and the World's arsehole, a fight between nations of an equal stature, nations with the equal potential to annihilate one another. The reason why the Cold War never became open war.

RE: Woman and the search for truth

Everything has its use, society bounces from one extreme to another, the best of times, the most "moderate" times, are the times of transition when no group holds social dominance.

Which is where we are now in 2011 as Women's Lib decays in power, perhaps this being a positive effect of the apathy of the young, through apathy we've lost the divisionary machinations of our parents, through our lack of belief in society we no longer attack society with the same fervour. But then this apathy is a new and dangerous extreme in its own right.
