Cold food is good
healthy with salads mmmmmmNephew & neighbors usually drop in
nearly all friends know i dont like having visitors & stay away :) but they phone & yack on computer. As you prob know K i get up pretty early for work & do a lot of hours
I have sleep apnia & stop breathing 60 times per hour (which does'nt help) according to sleep tests. Im lucky my job allows me to sleep s/times during the day.I so look 4ward to weekends & public hols (whether cup day,queenies b/day,easter, xmas etc...) so i can just kick back & do nothing (apart from cleaning,washing,lawns,gardens & all the fun stuff around house)
Being on this puter is killin me as im not doing anything(reno's) around me pad
& i sit here eating crap 
& not being active 
(put on bout 6-7kilo's since being on puter) Hopefully i stick to one of my NY'S resolutions & get healthy & finish my home

Woke up to the sound of rain about 2 hours ago. Laid there thinking how nice it was to hear it. And watching the lightning flashes light up the sky.
And the car windows are down. Bloody cold rain on my back but luckily it was only light at that time (and it was a bit dark and early for the neighburs to see me streaking).
Really looking forward to bacon and eggs at my daughters - but for lunch as she won't move until noon. Then off to her in-laws for a nice lunch outside?????? in-laws partner and I are the only ones who eat prawns so we will have a big plate to share.

Merry Xmas Lookin
Some one txt me at 6 am this morning to wish me a Merry Xmas. What's with that? They don't ring cause they know you will be sleeping. So they txt, then you have to get up and find your phone, open the txt and realise your blind so then have to find your glasses.
So now I have to sit here and wait for everyone to wake up.

Guy I work with is a typical practising (don't they ever learn how?) Catholic and doing one of his 2 pilgrimages to Church today (the other is Easter).
Being a practising agnostic (I need more practise as I keep forgetting), Xmas Day to me and many other people is the celebration of family and friends being together. Unlike birthdays, no one is the centre of attention.
Many years ago, being a typical divorced dad, I managed to see my children for about an hour or so before they went to my sisters to spend Xmas day. While I went to my brothers or mothers for lunch. After my first lonely dinner on Xmas night, I was talking to a few mates in similar situations. So the next year, I organised dinner at a club that was open. We started with 5-6 people, but the following years it kept growing. I moved 9 years ago and don't know if it is still going as the ones I keep in contact have also moved on.

If you ever read through any of the many religious tomes and phylosophical beliefs, they preach/teach us to to practise this every day of our lives to reach a peaceful or better level.
In Sydney, we had a group of 6 families in 1 street who spent a lot of time together celibrating 30 birthdays a year. And a lot of times we spent together just because we enjoyed being together. Other families would join in or invite us and usually the 6 families all went together. We were known as Rent-a-Crowd. Any excuse to spend time together.
Like you, I am not into the commercial hype of Xmas, Valentines Day, Easter, Mothers Day or Fathers Day. "Specials" that are now 20% dearer than a month ago, and will be discounted 50% next week.
Good morning and a very Merry Christmas to you all. I went to bed at 2am due to still having to make my desserts for today. Still have a little bit to do. Woke up at 7am to my kids still asleep. I kept myself busy til 8am then I couldn't stand the wait any longer so I woke them up. We are going to finish packing for Queensland this morning so we are ready to take off in the morning. Christmas is always a huge day for us and I LOVE every bit of it. Let the day begin.......
